Here is what it looks like right now. He just got a 55 special 2dr ht parts car for the few parts he's missing.

Thats what i thought about it being a standard,i know i would rather have an automatic. Ill get a couple pictures and post them. The Body is black and white the interior is red and white with a white top. Thanks George

A good friend of mine has just bought a 32,000 mile 55 special conv. Sadly it was taken apart about 25 years ago for a restoration and then it just sat in a building that was not weather tight. The body is rust free and he has all the parts they took off. He is the third owner and plans on getting it up and running and enjoying it for a while. Its Black and white with a red and white interior and white top. My question is how do i find out how many 55 special 3 speed conv. were made? Thanks George

I just looked at the first photos again( I forgot how bad it was when you started) and you have done an amazing job on your fathers old car.

Now that's a nice coupe

1930 Buick 5 passenger coupe 132" wb. Frame cleaned and painted with por 15. Front axle rebuilt with new kingpins and painted,front springs disassembled cleaned and painted and reassembled. All with por 15 paint. Rear axle is in the frame and not touched. Body parts as follows 2 front fenders with side mounts fair condition(dent sand rust) 2 rear fenders rust free some dents on the right side,left and right quarter panels some rust out on the lower edge,two doors one, complete with all wood framing both doors rust free, roof with rear window glass rust free cowl nice hood hinge needs some work, radiator with grill ,shell and thermostat for grill, front splash pan engine pans running boards (wood) and shields gas tank cover, panel above deck lid and the lower panel. 3 wooden spoke rims and one later artillery steel rim all with out tires, will include a deck lid for a rumble seat that can be modified to fit this coupe. It is missing the engine trans,(i have a couple nail head motors and trans combo,s) windshield brackets and frame. This is a car that you can take the whole family in and still arrive in a coupe. Pm any questions and i have more pictures if needed. Hi Sorry but i haven't been on this site for a couple weeks. I don't remember seeing a message as i would of contacted you. This car deserves to be done. With that said Yes I still have my 30/68 Buick. I have moved it into storage but i will still sell it.

Well next week i am going to disassemble the Buick and put it in storage, i just can't bring my self to part it out. After seeing that this is the only one(registered in the Buick Bugle ) in the state of Mass and one of 11 in the country.I'm hoping that i can find time in the future to make a nice driver out of it.
