  2. These NOS lens covers that Dick has mentioned also fit 2nd generation Rivieras, but you only need two for the rear sail panels - might be a good idea to order a spare set before the stock is depleted !
  3. Why would you even consider such a swap - even if it was feaseable ? It would definetly lower the value of your '69, not to mention the hassle with parts interchange. I know that '68/'69/'70 front clips will interchange, and have some pictures of a '69 front clip on a '70, but I'm not sure about the '66/'67. I suppose anything is possible if you put your mind to it, and your pockets are deep enough !

Ok Roger - Next question - how do you get a photo in your signature, per yours ? Thanks for the help !

'69 is the start of the transition from letter codes to number codes for paint so you kind of need to know both. Darwin Falk 1966-70 ROA Technical Advisor </div></div> Thanks Dar - you learn something new about these Rivieras everyday ! What's a good source for the number codes, to cross reference to the alpha codes ? If, there is one.
  6. Just for the record Dave - Ed and Sherry have not resigned as RCs, and will also be coordinating reorganization activities at the new ROA Office in Altoona, as 'Office Managers' - not as Directors, We only have one Director, and Ray Knott (ROA #1) has offered his services on an 'interim' basis.

They are the slotted chrome road wheels that were an option. T. #9343 </div></div> I noticed that too 'T'! I tried several images to use as an avatar - but they all appeared distorted in the final AACA format. What are we doing wrong Dave ? <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
  8. Hi Dave - Sorry I don't have any pics for you, but my '69 Colour & Trim Manual shows an Antique Gold (Code Z)swatch, and it is not listed as a 'Riviera only' exclusive colour. This Gold is quite dark compared to the other '69 Buick gold metallics, Trumpet Gold (Code G), or Champagne Mist (Code S). The only gold metallic listed as a 'Riviera only' exclusive colour is Embassy Gold (Code J), and it appears to have a much higher gold content than the Antique Gold (Code Z) swatch. You might be able to sort it out by checking a '69 Buick C&T Dealer Manual? Not sure how Code 77 paint ties in - not trying to confuse, just trying to help ! <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
  9. Sometimes the fingers are faster than the brain Phil, ...or is it the other way around <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> Sure is nice to have our own new place to 'share the pride' or whatever, with fellow members ! It will probably take a while for members to become aware of it, and like anything 'new' it will take some time to learn how to fly it ! <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
  10. Looks like a quality publication at a reasonable price Dick - just in time for HOHOHO ! Thanks for the heads up, ...my copy is on order too ! <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
  11. Thanks for the welcome Peter, and thanks to the AACA for providing another place for Buick Riviera Owners to hang out and maybe do a little 'hanger' flying ! <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
  12. It used to be 6, and I think it still is !
  13. Yah got that right Tim - The tangled webs we weave !
  14. The New 'Board of Trustees' was posted with some errors, and removed for corrections, I believe it's back up, or will be. As Dick stated previously there will be 'official' announcements once all the details are finalized !
