  1. Hey, Thriller; It was good to see you on Sunday. Thanks for coming down. Marge just sent out the totals - 825 show cars, 171 in the car corral, 324 swappers with 598 spaces. Great weather, great cars, great people. What more could you want!
  2. MNRoadMaster - where are you located?
  3. I have the full 1984 chassis manual, the body manual and the owner's manual; no light bulb chart in any of them.
  4. Have you tried ctcautoranch.com. They have quite a few Rivieras.
  5. In the Car & Driver 1993 New Car Issue, they say "In the year 2010 we may look for cars to bring back the good old days...Riviera is likely to fit this role." Now we only have to wait for GM to wake up.
  6. Hey, Paul; Just buy my 84 - the bumper fillers are excellent! What more could you want!
  7. When I got home from work today and checked the mail, the March/April Riview was there. I had to check the calendar - it really is only March 1. Way to go, Ray. After a brief scan I can say that it is another excellent issue. The only problem is how to choose only two of the outstanding candidates for the Board of Trustees.
  8. Very easy press latches the door - if you slam it it pops back open.
  9. When I had the same problem with my '84 I just went to my nearest Buick dealer and ordered a new one - no worries about aged plastic going bad again.
  10. S & M Electro-Tech - Auto Electronics - rebuilt mine - did a great job - no problems for five years. The owner is a member of the Olds club and has been restoring a 1936 Buick in his shop.
  11. Another good source is Ken Reeves at Wheatbelt Antique Auto in Carrier, OK (www.wheatbeltbuick.com). I have made some purchases for my 65 from Ken and have found him to be excellent in every way.
  12. Ed is right on the FB numbers not being model specific. My 65 was built the 2nd week of April, and the FB number is 175167. The last six of the VIN: 937985.
  13. I could use the 2 - 6" x 15" rims for my 1965. I'm in ZIP 55304.
  14. My first ride was home from the hospital in October, 1944 was in a 1941 Hudson sedan. Dad traded it in on a 1948 Packard, and traded that car on a 1951 Packard. He traded the 51 on a 1954 Buick Super 4-door (hence my love for Buicks).
  15. Thanks for referencing my 1984 Riviera. It does have a rebuilt transmission, and a new water pump. I drove it from Minneapolis to the ROA meet in Galena last year - 20 mpg and no problems. I agree that $3495 is overpriced. I always hope for a buyer with more money than brains. I'll take $3,000 from any BCA or ROA member. Thanks again, Jake.
  16. 1958 Ford Fairlane 500 2-door HT, red/white/red with a 352 police interceptor and cruise-o-matic. I got a 72 the first time so the examiner lowered my score enough to flunk me. Went back on September 1, 1961 and got a 96 (I still have the test sheet!)
  17. The 8th digit of the VIN is the engine code. "C" is listed as the 3.8L - 3800 engine. "3", "7" and "A" are listed as 3.8L without the additional 3800 designation. Go to Buickgod.com Network - Preserving Buick History for Car Enthusiasts : Home, click on Buick Resource, VIN & engine info.
  18. I removed what I could with a sharp wood chisel, and then used Goo Gone to remove the adhesive that the chisel didn't get. It wasn't too bad; if I had to do it again I'd do it the same way.
  19. Brand new available from Helm, Inc. for $135.
  20. I'll take the 22 if you help me push it, Tim.
