1. Hi Dave, Based on the basic part number and the picture, I believe you have a switch for a 2-speed rear axle on a Ford truck. Most likely an Eaton axle. Also based on the part number, it is most likely a truck from the early 1950's through the 1960's. Someone with early Ford dealer parts books for trucks can probably give you the exact make/model that it fits. I hope I've helped... 2muchstuff
2. I would appreciate any help I can get in identifying what this wonderful old body panel fits. Please see attached photo. It appears to fit below a truck hood, but above the fender. It might be for a heavy Ford truck. 1940's? There is only one number on the panel - hand scribed on the back is 513344. I have other photos of the piece and will post if they are required to identify the piece. Again, if this can be identified and sold, I will donate 20% of the sale price to the AACA library. This is a beautiful piece of heavy old sheet metal and I would like to see it go to someone who needs it for a restoration. Right now it's just taking up space in my basement!
3. Wow - that was fast....thanks DR! My next step is to list it on eBay. If it sells, you have earned the AACA library 20%. Look for more things...the basement is full. The goal is one check to the library before tax time!
4. This is the last photo - I promise!
5. Can anyone help me identify what make, model etc this NOS stone deflector fits? If I can get this part identified and sold, I will donate a portion of the proceeds to the AACA library. And... hopefully I was able to upload the photos!
6. Thank you 1937hd45 and Wayne Burgess! I put this grille on Ebay and it sold with Buy-it-Now in a matter of hours! So...a check for 20% of the sale price will be forwarded to the AACA Library. My garage now has a bit more space, somewhere in California an old truck is getting a new grille, my wallet now has a few extra dollars in it and the library will have a few more dollars to further the hobby. This is what I would call win-win!!! I have a few more mystery pieces of sheet metal that I will try to post in the next week or two. These should be easy because they have part numbers - but not FORD part numbers, so I have no clue how to look them up. Same deal with apply for the AACA Library. Thanks again, Pat
7. Thanks for the help everyone! This nice NOS part will now go on Ebay with a portion of the proceeds going to the AACA library. I hope there is at least one 1940/41 Ford 1-ton truck out there in need of a nice straight grille. Pat P.S. Thanks Wayne for pushing me to try the forum again!
