  1. Keiser, I emailed him. That one is a Nash light as I can see "Nash" in the red area, but he does say he has some without the Nash word.
  2. Nice looking Packard! My dad had a 1955 Packard Caribbean convertible many years ago. I don't know what all the fuss is about wanting to keep the original paint when it is worn out. If the paint is worn through and the primer is showing it is not original! I know the car is only original once, but once it start deteriorating to the point of the primer showing or rust out it is not original any more. Did the car come from the factory with primer showing on the fenders, or rust showing on the body? If a person wants to paint a car to make it like new there is nothing wrong with that.
  3. They are wire wheels, yes, big difference. Thanks Keiser!
  4. I am looking for hubcaps for my 1929 Hupmobile Century M sedan. It is a 8 cylinder so the hubcaps will have an H & 8 intertwined on the cap. The tail light is manufactured by Staub and would look like the one pictured on the lower left hand corner. If you have any tail light variants for a 1929 let me know. Let me know what you have and a price.
  5. With the 74 degree temperatures today, I got some painting done on the hood and fender of my 1990 Thunderbird. I got the base and clear on the underside of the hood and backside of the fender. Now to flip them over and paint the front side the next warm day we get.
  6. Installed three of the four threshold on the Hupmobile last night. They look pretty good for being originals. The threshold on the passenger side front will have to wait as there is a spacer that is in the way on the underside of the floor. I will have to loosen the body mount bolt and lift the body slightly to slip the threshold in, then lower the body back down. It shouldn't be too hard, but I didn't feel like doing it last night. Also straightened a bumper bracket(those chrome dividers, it wasn't straight up and down) on the rear bumper, it had been bugging me and I loosened the bolt a
  7. Thanks Hupp, I have the thresholds to install, I cleaned them up some and they look pretty good. I think they were originally installed with nails on the top and bottom, right? How do you put the nails in on the bottom?? Dale
  8. Been doing some work on the Hupmobile while it is in a nice warm building. I have decided to replace the carpet that was put in the car years ago as a temporary carpet. It was an old oriental rug that was probably worth thousands of dollars. The new carpet is not of original style but it does look much better than the red carpet that was in there, and I have had this carpeting laying around for years. I bought it at Hershey many years ago and used a little piece in the Crosley pickup truck a few years ago, I think I paid $20 for the roll and still have enough left to do several more cars.
  9. Been working on replacing the carpet in the Hupp. Here are a few pictures to tell the story. I know it is not the correct material but neither is the upholstery. I bought this carpet material many years ago at Hershey and have finally had a use for it.
  10. I am looking for a used header panel for a 1989-1993 Ford Thunderbird. Has to be a non-Super Coupe car. If you have one let me know how much. Does not have to be perfect. IM me
  11. Hello, I have the two corner curved rear window glass for a 1954 Nash Ambassador. They are in good shape and are tinted. I do not have the center glass. Is anyone interested? Would make good spares for your car, where will you ever find replacements?? Also would like to know if they fit the Nash Metropolitans with the three piece rear windows?? They are located in SWPA, would prefer pickup but might consider shipping them. $200.00 Send me an IM
  12. I have bought my dad's 1929 Hupmobile that he bought way back in 1968. I was just a little tike when he brought it home. It was all apart and needed restored, which was done over the next few years. I can remember handing him tools and watching as he worked on it. We went to many car shows and drove it a lot for several years, then other cars came along and the Hupp got relegated to storage, dad saying the car wasn't safe to be on the road with the newer cars. It was driven a few times in the late 90's and then put away again. He decided last year to sell all his cars and I told him that
  13. I haven't posted a report on the FOR in quite some time so I thought I would give a quick update. Still no work done on the FOR as this year has been busy selling my dads car collection. Had 17 cars to sell and now have 6 cars left. I have bought his 1929 Hupmobile and I will be doing a few things to it to get it back on the road this winter, I hope. I have been busy repairing crash damage on two of my vehicles, in June, my Thunderbird was hit in the front by a driver that cut the corner short while turning and didn't see me. Then in September, just 4 months after getting a 2014 Ram Pick
  14. What class mail were the card sent out?
  15. We had one across the isle that was mounted in a box trailer that was charging up several mobility carts inside the trailer. The people were staying at a motel and the generator would run till it ran out of gas...
  16. The one that was in the green field had no graphics on it. I saw a picture of the one on the show field and at first thought it was the same one, then noticed the graphics. Unless they were magnetic decals?? It sure did sound nice coming past our space every day!
  17. First off I want to thank Hershey Region and all that helped make this another great year at Hershey!!! A huge undertaking that seems to go off without a hitch every year. My question concerns the running of generators at night, it used to be the generators had to be shut off at 10pm. This year we were told by on official that it was 11pm? I looked in my vendor information and I didn't see anything at all about generators??? Has the rule of 10pm shutoff time changed and if so why is it not in the vendor information? By 10pm, I am tired and ready for bed and some of the generators are
  18. Steve, I understand about parking problems and I know about the stickers. We will check on local homes but we are trying to get things lined up before we go. As for HE&R, I commend them for the job they do. It is a big undertaking and they, Hershey Region, AACA and HE&R do a fabulous job. I just thought that if there was a place that someone could park a car for the entire week for a smaller fee than RV parking, that maybe it would free up some flea market space as some vendor would park there vehicles in the weeklong area? Again, thanks for the ideas and we will che
  19. Thanks for the offer Dave. My brother lives about 1 hour away too, but we were hoping for something right in the area. It is really a shame that someone doesn't have a place just to park cars for the week at a reasonable cost. Might even free up some flea market space and make the flea market better? Does anyone have any room on there space for a car(modern day midsized) for the week? Message me and we can work out the details.
  20. I have checked with the Museum and they want $120.00 to park a car there from Tues. to Sat., RV parking rates apply whether you are parking a car or a RV. Does anyone have a spot we could park this car for the week for a small fee??????????? Has anyone had any luck parking at a shopping center long term?
  21. Check that upper rad hose. In the one picture it looks like there is a mark from where the old battery was rubbing on it??
  22. Is there any place you can park a car for the entire week of Hershey for one fee? We have a friend coming and need a spot to park a car from Tuesday till Saturday. It wouldn't be moved the entire week. Thanks, Dale
  23. Awww man! I was working on a deal with Reed to get some parts for my Thunderbird!!! He had just what I wanted. LOL I just looked at the time he joined and the time he messaged me and said that he is scamming. Wish there was a way to fry their computer when you ban them!
