He bid $323,000 on it, and did not get it. He and I went out to lunch after the bidding frenzy and I asked him if he had lost his everlovin mind!? He said, look you have to understand I do 1.5 million a day in my business and what I was bidding was about 2 hours of 1 of my days. So? I guess it is all relative. If a guy just bought a $500,000 muscle car at B J and his girlfriend or wife said I sure do like that little Red Maserati, he says no problem, I will just get that little cutie for you. You sweet thing you. Wheeeew! that was easy and for only $8,500 plus buyers premium. Could have been a lot worse if she had seen that 57 TBird with the cute portholes. ha ha I did notice some bigger prices on some TC's on ebay in the last week or so. Could it be called a trend? Of course, I have seen them listed and sold for from $150 to $1500 each. They are one of the rarest items to find a good one. They are one of the reasons I started collecting these crazy cars. I had seen a young man try to get $1750 for his running TC needing brake repairs and no one wanted it. He ended up parting it out and had $3500 in his pocket and almost a 1/2 car left over. I have always thought that was crazy. In my opinion it depend if I need one or am selling one. ha ha Complete lights should be $500 up depending on good to excellant condition. I usually do not sell just the head light lense, so not sure how to price one of those. I will say that I have paid 75 to 150 for ones with bb pings in them, to have for spares. I think Lou's pricing is about right if we are talking about just the lense. Also remember the passenger sides are more rare in good cond. since those are the ones that usually get damage. In the olden days, I would guess that most of the car parts would have come from wrecks and since so many wrecks were front end damage, whoops, there goes the headlights. We just need to be sure the ones they see are some of the better ones. That will help all of our values on all of our cars. That is why I am terrified to sell 2 of my 16 valve models, when would I be able to get them back and at what price? I am thinking heavy on it though. If there were 11 U.S. Yellow/Black/Black made in 1990, which would seem to make it right, since that is how many triple blacks,red/black/black, & white/black/black cars they show for the 49 states in 1990. Ah ha!, I have figured out the descrepancy, they show 11 Yellow/Black/Black 16 valve cars in the 49 state catagory for 1989 and they did not make black interior in 1989. They must have just put the 11 number in the wrong column. Do I win a prize? Hmmmm? Jasper!

It has none listed and I find that awfully unlikely with them making 4 california cars in that color combo. I really think we need to do a speadsheet on all the 16 valve models still running out there. I will be glad to tackle it if I can get some feed back on it.
