  1. The 145 sedan was attractively priced as a loss leader???
  2. If the filter is between the supply tank and the vacuum tank that is normal, it is a vacuum system so causing air and volatile fuel components to off gas when they get to the air space in the filter. You don.t need a filter between the vac tank and the carb.

    Fs 1927 11b

No, it is a number 3 three passenger coupe. There is not space for a rumble seat. The 3-5 passenger coupe is shaped like a cabriolet.

    Fuel Pump

That would depend on the design of the pump. I have used an Autopulse model 600 on my Series14 since the 1960s without a bit of trouble. It is a simple pushrod acting on a bellows and is adjustable for 1 or 2 psi. Don't know which it is set for but it always supplied enough. These pumps were used on Porsche racing cars way back when. They and overhaul kits can available on Ebay.
  5. Spark Plug torque: Finger tight plus 1/8th turn.
  6. Time for another Jerry Lettieri auction at http://www.automobiliaauctions.com. Lots #44, 94, 141, 142, and 143 are exclusively Franklin. Lots 218, 228, 234, 342, 383, 390, and 423 have one Franklin piece in a mixed lot. Fox lit in lots 279 and 291.

    Mufflers

With the club sponsored muffler unavailable what are people using on series 14 and up?
  9. Except for Model H from 1908 were 6 cylinder and Model D in 1911 and later
  10. Enclosed cars before 1916 Series 9 do not exist where they then appear and become progressively more available in 1922 Series 10 and later.
  11. Not sure about Series 12, but S-11 and earlier were Franklin designed and built and this box is what is desired.

    Timing marks?

The mark on the housing, if S10 is like later cars, is little more than a scratch in the housing. Paint it white when you find it.
  13. Just check the part #s for series around 11 in the parts books on the Club website.
  14. The same one as the starter
  15. He is listed with Mark Chaplin
  16. My 11B had a Dole primer setup, a pump like a tire air hand pump in operation which pumped gas to three fittings on the intake manifold. Have ask Bob Amon where it connects to the fuel supply system on Bertha. It was mounted behind the dashboard with a good sized chrome/nickle knob for your pull-push operating pleasure. Nothing like having gas leaking on the driver's left leg. Tried it once, didn't like it.
  17. Ed Granville lived in Vernon CT, where I live and go by his home frequently as it is about a mile from mine. Decades ago I bought something at a tag sale there not knowing at the time who was holding it and of course now don't remember what it was. He is listed in the '73 Roster and his car, an 11-B coupe, was yellow with black roof and is now in Oregon.
  18. MIne arrived today along with the new Roster/Register. Both are much welcomed, the typeface used for the R/R is very easy read.
  19. The filter on my 147 is a Purolator PER 1/2 which has the restriction on the outlet end.
  20. Looks complete is mobile but not running is in MN 35-191309L11 LKO J. Shoop in PA. https://www.vanderbrinkauctions.com/lot-item/22v-4/
