  1. Beautiful truck! Is it stock original or is it modernly upgraded underneath? Thanks for the info, however I have tried that site on many occasions and it seems that it is not current and up to date.
  2. Hello, Owner of a 50 Dodge panel, I am just wondering what happened to the paneltruck forums on the net. I can't find any that are current. I own 3 (Dodge,Chevy, and Willys) and I would like to find others with my same passion. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks
  3. I have a 1950 dodge 1/2 panel truck, was wondering if someone could fill me in on the process of repairing the running boards. I got two short boards off of what appeared to be a similar pilothouse dodge in the salvage yard, for the proper metal pattern I think. I just wondering if I am wasting time going in the wrong direction or not. P.s. I am going to have the finished product lined with a bed liner material when they are complete so not really needing an absolutely perfect fit, just close. Thanks
  4. Thanks everyone for posting on my initial question, a lot of very good information. I will continue to work to get the proper paperwork. P.S. I think I would rather move to a different state then give up the fight. Thanks
  5. Thank you for responding. I have a 1950 dodge 1/2 ton panel truck. I bought it from a local gentlemen, who claims that he never had a title and the previous owner before him did not have one. This is a complete restoration project. He gave me only a notarized bill of sale. Also, the Broadway Title Company is a good suggestion but my state (Nebraska) happens to be one of the states that do not acknowledge their paperwork. Thanks again
  6. Hello I am a rookie in the field of restoring automobiles. I am finding it very difficult to make the local DMV happy. It seems to me like they want the old classics to not be restored and only be used as scrap metal or lawn art. If anyone has any suggestions or knowledge of bonded titles, assembled titles, etc., it would be greatly appreciated. I live in Nebraska. If someone knows of a site or a business that specializes in helping a person through all the paperwork, that would also be appreciated. I really want to continue restoring, but I really, really want to drive them even more. Thank You.
  7. I am an owner of a 1950 1/2 dodge panel. Thank you everyone who helped me figure out what year my panel was and where the serial # could be located. Now I need to know how to search for and hopefully obtain a title/duplicate for my truck. I live in Nebraska, and to the best of my knowledge the truck has been in this state most or all of its life. Thanks again.
  8. I have recently purchased a 1/2 ton panel. I am trying to figure out the codes for this vehicle so I can tell what year it is and get the proper papers for it. This is what I got: tag on firewall (4913-3214) and the engine block (T172 25268). I have yet to find any other #'s elsewhere that would fit into the serial number category according to a book I picked up at my local library. This is my first time on this site and my first restoration project. There is a lot of helpful information on here, so I was wondering if anybody could me continue. Thank You
  9. I have recently purchased a 1948-50 1/2 ton panel. I am trying to figure out the vehicles codes to tell what year it is and to get the proper papers for it. This is what I got: the tag on the the firewall (4913-3214) and the motor code (T172 25268). I have yet to find any #'s stamped elsewhere that fit into the serial number category according to a book I picked up at my local library. This is my first time on this site and my first restoration project. I have read a lot of helpful information, so I was wondering if anybody could help me continue. Thank You
