  3. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement for the drivers side 16-way seat control panel box (??? - the part that covers the wiring and attaches to the side of the drivers seat) for my 1989 Reatta Coupe - Red/Saddle interior. The controls work fine, the box was broken loose from the seat and there is no way to reattach it. I'd appreciate any help in finding this. Thanks. Nanette
  4. Harry, The brake parts I was told I need are a brake valve and modulator. Basically, the only problem I have is that the ABS warning light comes on and off while driving and the brakes feel soft from time to time so I have to pump them to firm them back up. If I pump too hard it can make the red brake light come on and then I only have limited brake use. When I turn the car off and then start it up the brakes are fine again. I know that I still have brake function without the ABS working but I don't ever want a total brake failure so I thought I'd fix everything now before it gets worse???
  5. Mike R. Do you watch the posts on this website? Still waiting to hear from you. Please let me know about the drivers door panel. Nanette M
  6. Thanks for the info. Actually, I printed out the brake test form from the Reatta.net site and gave it to the dealer when I dropped off the car. I didn't think to ask if he used it! Can you tell me some names of places to look for the brake parts? TKS!
  7. Hi, the Buick Dealer's service department checked my 1989 Reatta and told me I need a "brake valve" and "modulator" (is that the same as a accumulator???) I know nothing about auto mechanics so if anyone has had this problem and knows if this sounds correct, would you please let me know. Anyway, these parts are no longer available and I need help in finding out how to locate these parts. Cna anyone help? I know there has been a lot of past posts regarding the brakes, but I have not been able to figure out a way to just pull up "brake" info posts on this site. Also, I had just replaced the r
  9. Yeah, I went to "Car Toys" (in Colorado Springs, CO) and they had one navigation system that worked in the allowed space. It works great and looks like a custom fit. I've attached a photo. Had to buy a CD/DVD player in the trunk to work the system, so I also have music options. Seems like the cost was around $1,500.00. The tech struggled with the wiring some, but they remember the car well and if you want to do this, your tech could consult with mine to save himself some time. Let me know if you need more info. Good Luck.
  10. We live in Rockport, TX, and are traveling in Colorado at the moment. I will keep Fredricksberg in mind for Oct. 28th. Thanks for the info.
  11. Hi, I just signed-up and have been reading other posts. My father was the original owner of a 1989 Reatta coupe, red w/saddle interior. The car was purchased in Bakersfield, CA and always garaged. When I inherited the car it had 78K miles. I moved the car to Colorado, then to Texas. It now has approx. 81K. Since owning this car I wanted to restore it as much as possible. I have invested over $8K and absolutely LOVE this car, plus the sentimental factor since my father has now passed away. Now that we moved to Texas, I would have to rent a garage to keep the car. My husband feels I shou
