I was really surprised to see this 1924 Cadillac on ebay ... It appears that the Province of Ontario still only requires seat belt use where seat belts were origionally provided in the vehicle. I found this very helpfull when I was struggling to get the origional vacuum wipers on my 54 Caddy working properly ... Very simple discription with pictures and trouble shooting advise that seems to be similar to different early wiper systems ... It helped me ... since very little information is available on early Cadillac wipers, other than if you have a problem ... send it to 'XXXXX' to have the motor rebuilt ... In my particular case ... it was mainly adjusting the control linkage, cleaning and lubricating, and replacing a small piece of leather for the parking position on the motor ...

Just asking for your opinion on requiring seat belts to be installed in ALL cars? Has this been an issue in your own state or province? Is there an alternative when replacing a front window motors for a 1954 Caddy? Not much luck with rebuilding the motors in my area (Canada) I was hoping there may be something newer to exchange or aftermarket rather than replacing with another 50+ year old electric motor, or trying to fix the ones I have :-( Any suggestions would be appreciated ...

Looking for any leads for an early Detroit, Milburn, Baker, etc. either car or small comercial vehicle probably in rough shape, barn fresh or abandoned for a project vehicle. I know they are not cheap, but obviously looking for something fairly reasonable ($$$$) to spend some time to restore. Maybe something you picked up that you haven't managed to get around to or a work in progress, by either yourself, or maybe someone you know ... dfp@sympatico.ca
