I will be acquiring a 1948 GMC 3/4 Ton 5 window pickup this winter and need to know what later model diffential will interchange with the old stump puller gears. I'm looking for a 3.55:1 or higer gear ratio. I prefer to change out just the ring and pinion and associated parts, but if need be I could replace the whole rear axle assembly. Any info is greatly appreciated.
