  1. Apple Hydraulics have the shocks for Lincoln Zephyr. www.applehydraulics.com/houdaille.htm Their web site shows $165.00 each. They also show shock links for Ford and Mercury for $25.00 each.
  2. Norm, LOL, I got 3 error messages when I tried to post. So............kept on hitting the submit button, little did I know it was posting each time. Sorry!
  3. Norm, A couple thoughts......... When the engine is running can you see water circulating with the radiator cap off? Are you using a pressure cap and what PSI is it? Can you see any debris in the radiator water? Any strange sounds from the water pumps? Listen to them with a stetascope. Running the engine just sitting parked will heat it up more than while driving. 20 minutes is a long time just parked.

  7. Phil Thanks for the reply, it is good to know that it's the same as the fat fendered fords. That name is not familiar to me, as I stay away from Ebay. I'll ask around for you and see if I can find out.
  8. Can one of the pundits advise me on the value of a rear window (no scratches or bubbling)for a 41 Zephyr sedan and also the exterior stainless trim both in good condition?
  9. Keith: I for one, would love to see what you have recasted so far and IMHO it is no problem if more than one person offers an item. Some compatition will help keep our hobby affordable for all. Are you refering to the wing vents or the rear vent windows? I will need both sets in the near future. So, please post what you have and keep us posted on your progress.
  10. Zoot: I measured the front door of my 41 sedan, for your reference it is 36-5/8" at the top of the belt moulding. Hope this helps when your coupe arrives.
  11. Zoot: The 41 Sedan that I told you about may have many of the parts you indicate you need. My next trip up the mountain (once the latest storm passes as they are expecting another 2' of snow this weekend) I'll take some photos and Email them to you. The experts on here can let you know if the trunk pans on the coupe and sedan are a match up. The items on the front should be a match. Let me know your direct Email address.
  12. Zoot: I sent you a Pvt Message regarding some 41 Skirts from a Z-sedan
  13. Just checked and both are Connies on the Memory Lane site, a 41 and a 42. Here is the link for those interested: http://www.memorylaneclassiccars.com/thumbs.html And here is my 41 Zephyr:
  14. Rick Good to see you back on the list. Hows the work on the 42 coming along?
  15. Peecher: As far as I know they are serious, I have bought a few items from them so far. Right now it is tough to get to where the car is, there has to be at least 2 to 3 foot of snow in that area. I went up on New Years Eve (before the last 2 storms hit) and picked up a couple items and had a heck of a time getting out due to the snow in their area. I do know they had to walk in after the last storm, about 1/2 mile because the driveway was blocked. They have listed prices now so my guess is once the snow melts you can get there and make a deal with them. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: peecher</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> I contacted them over a month ago. 16. The 41 Sedan being parted out east of Portland is again listed on Craigs List. To see it check the following link. http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/car/563804507.html
  17. Lets try this photo of my 41 LZ Sedan
  18. I too would like to know how to post a photo that is not on the web to one of my posts. Every time I try to post one, all I get is a box that asks for the http/ location of the photo. Can anyone post the directions?
  19. Picked my 41 LZ Sedan up for 12 grand. But prices in the NW are a bit lower than CA.
  20. The 41 LZ sedan that was advertized for sale in Oregon a couple months ago on Craigs List is being parted out. You can see a photo of it and get contact information by checking Craigs List for it in Portland Oregon. I have looked at it and there is quite a bit of good items on it.

  22. Rolf: Come up with a prices for the items you have listed and let me know off the board. If we can work out a joint purchase of it we could share the parts. Direct Email is Xfiremar@aol.com
  23. Looked at the car yesterday. It is definitly a 41, body # and Vin confirm that, body # is 16H-73-37**, Vin# H113***. It is missing the hubcaps, engine and radiator but most of the the rest of it is there. The property owners have no idea how long it has been there but it has set in the woods for a long time. There were 16 vehicles sitting on the property when they bought it. IMHO the value in it is parts for projects needing them as lower rust has set in. Rear fenders are excellent, one fron has one small dimple the other is wrinkled. Hood and trunk lid appear decent, the skirts are in the trunk along with the rear bumper and center portion of the front bumper. It has an overdrive transmission but I could not tell if its a Columbia or Warner. Lots of rust in the lower doors and trunk. Seats are piled inside and home to mice, rear seat has the center arm rest. Most of the stainless is there some dinged up, others in decent shape. The door exterior door handles are there but not on the vehicle, hood ornement is missing. Some missing window cranks on the inside. The color was Darien Blue until the rust took over. Too much junk piled in it to get a decent look at the floor pan. I told them the value is in the parts and I would be interested in some from it. If there is someone out there wanting parts, I would be open to a joint purchase of the vehicle and spliting it up with them. If anyone has that interest, give me a yell and we'll see what we can do. PS: Forgot to mention that the grills are there, with one extra side. One section has missing tines the others have cracked ones but appear to be repairable.
