Zep Floor Wax Finish Experiment on 1949 Roadmaster
oldstyle replied to Dan O's topic in Buick - Post War
I don't mean to take this thread off track but...How do you like the car? I sold my 49 76s before I could get her on the road. Drives nice on the freeway? Thanks, Raul -
1957 Buick Special Runs Hot in Traffic-Suggestions?
oldstyle replied to NailheadBob's topic in Buick - Post War
Bob, Yes, I didn't have a shroud when I got the car. The electric fan is on the front of the radiator. It kicks on and off automatically by a sensor that is in the upper radiator hose. I put it in years ago so I don't remember where I got it. -
1957 Buick Special Runs Hot in Traffic-Suggestions?
oldstyle replied to NailheadBob's topic in Buick - Post War
My 57 would get hot in traffic. I've replaced the radiator, added a shroud, 6 blade fan, and electric fan. The electric fan made a big difference. It hardly ever gets very hot now. -

Buick makeup case I found years ago. I don't know anything about it. Maybe someone does? The radio isn't a Buick item but I thought I'd share it anyway because it says Riviera.

Great deal but I only need the deck lid. Hopefully some one saves this one but if not let me know if you're willing to sell the deck lid. Thanks, Raul

Wish this wasn't on the other side of the country. Nice car.

Thank you for all of the replies. So, is the lid the same as found on the normal black air cleaners or is it a special lid?

Hello, I could use some help. I have this Riviera (66?) chrome air cleaner that I found at a wrecking yard years ago. Is the missing lid just a plain Riviera black lid or a special lid? Thank you, Raul

Thanks, makes sense since I've seen them listed for different nailheads.

Hello, Anyone know what the Weiand WB 4D fits? I'm surprised I can't seem to find anything with Google or searching on this site. Ebay listings go between the 322 and the 364. Thanks, Raul

Thanks. Clicking on the Packard section takes me to the Ford section for some reason. Also, I was hoping someone had a used metal set for sale. Thanks for the response though.

Thanks for the help! I was worried that this small job was about to be a big job. Raul

Hello, I had a leaking rear seal that destroyed the transmission mount in my 1966 Riviera. When I pulled the seal I found this hole. It looks like it was drilled. I'm not sure why someone would do that so I'm hoping it's supposed to be there. Thanks, Raul

Andrea, I'm no expert but I've had a similar problem. It ended up being a clogged fuel line. As nice as your car is I doubt your tank is very rusty. Gas does go bad when sitting for awhile. Raul

Thanks, I'm not sure about the tires. They wheels came with the car.

I don't see how new car emissions changes anything with our cars.
