Can any one tell me if a SWB frame from an 80 chevy truck will work on 57 chevy body. Can't seem to find any site on the net giving diminsions on frames. Thanks for any help.

Yes, thank you. I found that one. Going round and round with Tx DMV about getting title corrected. They were saying I had to have police dept check Vin on body and ensure it matches vin stamped on frame. However, I was told these old chevy's did not have a vin stamp on frame. Looking for easier route to fix title.

Can anyone tell me all the locations of the VIN number for a 57 chevy p/u. I am trying to get a clear title on this vehicle before I start resto. VIN on title I got when purchased is wrong. ANY help is appreciated.

Does anyone know of a website where I can check the vin history of a 57 chevy truck. All the sites I have found only list post 1981 yr vehicles when the vin coding became standardized.
