  1. 28SeniorSix, Thank you very much. the missing page will be sent tomorrow.
  2. 28SeniorSix, Would you be able to post a photo of the dash?
  3. Did the early (2249)1927 Dodge Senior's have wood simulation on the dash?
  4. Reuel, Do you think +.004 will be the same for 6 Cyl valve adjustments and do the inlet and exhaust valves run at the same temperature?
  5. Is there a problem with excess water vapor and can it affect the oil in the sump?
  6. I would be happy to help. What are the page numbers?
  7. Thank you for posting the pictures, it looks a very neat and tidy conversion. The picture I poster came from an original copy of Dodge Senior parts list that I bought in the USA. The part number 200326, is the UAS filter, the a/c filter was for export cars( which my Dodge is)
  8. I believe the oil filter is fitted vertically in the Standard 6 and horizontal in the Senior (2249)
  9. I am renewing all the spring shackel bolts and bushes on my 1927 2249 Dodge Senior, but to date cannot find a suppler of "Rear Spring Front Bushing 200807". I have tried Myers Early Dodge and have emailed Romar. Is they anyone else?
  10. Have a look at www.vintageandclassicreproductions.com
  11. germandodge, The number is between the bolt/stud and just below the mudguard. There is no repair manual for the 2249; there is a fair amount of information in the owners manual and if you can find a copy "Parts List Senior"( from car number IS 10000 )there are a number of very good useful illustrations. If you are keeping the car original then the rear axle information can be found in a copy of "Mechanics instruction manual"( Dodge Brothers cars up tp 1927)reprinted by Crank Hope Publications.
  12. Yes, it is my 1927 Dodge Senior. The number should be above the spring shackel. see photo
  13. No, I do not think it is possable to install a Victory six rear axle in a 2249 Dodge Senior ,as I explained in my last reply. Can you post the chassis number (IS)this can be found above the front rear spring shackle on the drivers side( RHD cars).
  14. Is your Senior a 2249 (cars below IS 24721)? If it is, the prop shaft(inclosed in a torque tube) and rear axle are similar to Dodge 4 cylinder cars rather than the Victory six. The parts book list two type of "axle shafts", six splines for cars below NO.IS 15045 and 10 splines above car NO.IS 15045
  15. The chassis number (IS)can be found above the front rear spring shackle on the drivers side( RHD cars). Dennis Robershaw oldcarbearings@bigpond.com, Australia, makes bushes, bolts, EST,for Dodge Brothers cars, he also owns a 2249 Senior. It is possible he will know about your car. Can you post a photograph?
  16. I think Denis Robertshaw ( oldcarbearings@bigpond.com )does a conversion using a modern seal instead of the packing.
  17. Last weeked I saw a 1928 Standard 6 ( LHD )with one piece rear shackles , with two supporting bars, the part number was jd 41261db .the matching pair part number was jd41262
  18. These are spare shackles, but the ones on the car are probably as bad .Might the weld be a harder metal than the bolt, will this a problem ? The middle shackle has a third hold which is threaded.Should the rear rear shackles have a third bolt fitted? Luckly a set of new bolts came with the car when I bought it.
  19. Is anybody making spring shackles that can be fitted to the Fast four, standard 6 and early Seniors. Is it possible and safe to restore the original shackles?
  20. This site may hold some clues, look at the paint section. http://www.ply33.com/Models/U/
  21. Have a word with Dennis at A.A Bearings (Melbourne) Tel :9874 1660 , He is very Knowledgeable when it comes to Dodges
