  1. Please advise how to test the left had side temp sending unit on a Ford Flathead. This sending unit has two prongs on it and unlike the one on the right side it does not get its ground from the engine block to lower the resistance to activate the dash guage. There must be some way that these two prong units can be bench tested with an ohmmeter .
  2. Please advise how to electrically test the single prong and double prong sending units on the flath3ead fords.I believe the one on the right, the single prong ones function just like the modern day car I.E. that when it is gounded it has the lowest resistance making the guage show all the way up to hot. It is the one on the left which has two prongs that I do not Know how to test.
  3. I have used the Eastwood Spot welder with great success. Like any other form of welding technique the matting surfaces have to be very clean in order to allow the arc to fuse the metal together. I found out that one rod, which is six inches long will be good for five feet of welding with spots being one inch apart. THIS TOOL WORKS REALLY GOOD AND WELL WORTH THE MONEY.
  4. I also used hockey tape to wrap up wiring harness. It works really good in cold climate. Go to any Sporting goods store. It is even a lot cheaper, especially when you are wrapping whole harnesses to give them that period look,
  5. Please confirm the correct battery polarity for a 1941 Cadillac V8. Positive ground or Negative ground in a 6V system?
