  1. I've read an article recently that the owner of the property is in the process of getting the permits to tear the plant down. It was an interesting read. The plant is 3.5 million sq. feet and over a hundred years old. Shame...
  2. I still would love to go walk some of it.. everytime I see the place it looks worse and worse.

    Packard Forum Activity

Sad alot of the ole guys have moved on, I come by ever now and then to see who is still helping the new faces out with answers to questions about one of the most beautiful cars to ever roll down an assembly line. Hope all is well...
  4. From the color of various pieces of the engine IE: generator arm. I think it fair to say that in the last 50 years or so this engine has been repainted, so It would be best go by the serial numbers stamped or cast on the block to determine the date of casting. Just my two cents.
  5. I have been reading about this remarkable woman for some time now, He is a very lucky man indeed.
  6. I got a dealer listing in the mail from a reader of my site. while it is not a complete listing it has 290 names of dealer's that I did not have listed before. After about a week of steady work that list of names has been added the Packard Dealer listing on my site. I have not counted the names but I am guessing it at over a 1000 names at this point. If you check the listing and see a name of a Packard Dealer not listed let me know and I will get it up. Thanks for checking out my site. 7. I hope that there is something for me to see when I get there in June. It concerns me that there is no guards on duty. Just a thought...
  8. I would be interested to see more of what you explored! <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

    1947 Super Clipper

I sent you a private message 327 but decided that everyone should know what I asked, what State do you live in so we can kind of judge if its worth bringing home or calling to see if the guy would come down some more off the price. I need a Packard and unless I am mistaken the 47 is pre-bathtub. Randy_G
