1. Thanks. I found a NOS one with a part # of 13228691 any idea what this fits?
2. Wondering if anyone knows if a rocker extension for a 1946-1948 super four door and super estate wagon will fit a 1947 roadmaster. Thanks for any help.
3. WOW...Now my head hurts... Thanks for that book...hehe. As long as I know how this should work , then I'll get it done...May take a while though. Thanks again.
4. Wondering who has an available inventory of sheetmetal parts for a 47 roadmaster? Right now, I'm gona need trunk pan, front floor, and I don't know what you call them, but the rocker moldings or something like that. It's the things that are bolted to the rockers, but not actually the rockers. If anyone followed that. Thanks.
5. Hey guys...Just wondering something here, but how is this 47 buick started? I didn't get any keys with it, but the ignition was left in the on position. I only see LOCK, OFF, and ON. there doesn't seem to be any start position. Is there a starter button on her somewhere? When I get around to being ready to start it, I want to be able to do it...right? Thanks.
6. Thanks...That is exactly what I needed. Since the owner told me that it was a super or a special he wasn't sure...I'm glad that it's a roadmaster....it just sounds cooler...haha. I'll try and post some pics over the next few days. She's rough, but as you know, people with our debilitating disease of automotive restoration even the smallest chrome lug nut on a pile of rust has the greatest potential of all... HAHA.
7. Hey. Thanks for the reply. I'm 23 years old, and live near Raleigh, NC. Although this is my first Buick, I'm no stranger to what it's gona take to get her back like she should be. I have a 78 F100, and a 61 Chevy stepside that I have redone from the ground up. As far as the Vin tag goes, it reads: [color:"blue"] 1947 Mod: 47-71 Style No: 47-4769 Body No: BL 5386 Trim No: 92 Paint No: 01 Any help with this info would be really appreciated. I was told this was a super form the owner, but I found a emblem in the back seat the fits in the grill good that says Road Master. So who knows??? Thanks again for the help guys. Have a good one! [color:"blue"]
8. Hey Ya'll...Just wanted to take a sec and say hi. I just got my first buick yesterday. She's a 1947 something. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I can decode the body number, and tell me just what 1947 I have. Is it a super, road master..or what? Also, what are some good companies for reproduction parts. I'm gona need rockers, floors, and a trunk floor. Any help would be great. I know I'll be posting a lot later. Till then, have a good one. 47Buicker
