WANTED 350 Buick headers new or used I am putting together a 70 Jeep Wagoneer Limited which has the 350 Buick as the original factory engine lots of room so any type of headers should work in the vehicle.

Hey the power steering hose is $80 from GM parts dept. Now lets see if I could sell all the leopard skin to a nudie bar and the diamond plate to cowboy for his pickup It'd be like getting the hose for free!!!! Oh wait a minute, just bidding would be getting hosed!!

Advance your timing a smidgen, the higher the % ethanol the more advance, as the ethanol can take more timing it burns cooler than straight gas. As stated in earlier response the drag racers added lots more fuel(ethanol) and ran more initial advance to make power. This will give you a little better mpg, more hp means less throttle opening, but not enough to make up for the lower btu.

That's exactly the idea here Shelby. Will keep original cassette deck safely tucked away. I believe the cassette opening will accommodate the double din Jensens' width & height but wonder about the depth??? Any advice out there on available depth would surely be appreciated

Hey F14crazy thanks for the push in the right direction. Hope to see you and your s/c'ed Reatta at nat's. When do you expect to make it? Have read the postings on your project and must say you and the rest of the folks here really do have a dedication and drive for helping fellow Reatta lovers which I find remarkable and am glad I have one. I found mine last Oct. in ND, could have picked anything but wanted a Reatta with it's great creature comforts which is essential for a large man as myself. My Reatta has 44,500 more or less as of this posting and has been good to me. Really enjoy the cornering!!!!!!! I would really like to get the full performance spec's once you have yours fully tuned minus any fixable bugs. Congrats Phillip!!! The S/C'ed saga has been some of the most enjoyable reading I've had in a long time and I have learned a tremendous amount about the Reatta and it's systems from your project. I have a low mile 1988 red Reatta coupe (see pic posting) with the ubiquitous cassette player and would very much like to add a Jensen VM9021TS 6.5" DVD/MP3/TV Receiver with GPS nav unit. This has touch screen technology and plays giga MP3's(1000 hours of music on one DVD who needs a cd changer). I was wondering, before springing for $900, if this would fit/function in the cassette player spot with a custom mounting bracket and hooking into the factory wiring. No I don't want to listen to cassette's, if I want to hear something hiss I'd buy a snake or a cat. Thanks in advance for any help. I would especially like to see pics of other sound system mods utilizing the cassette's spot and any tech problems for aftermarket systems in 88/89 Reatta's. Am planning on being at the Rochester nats as spectator as I just heard about it and to late to register, hope to see you there.

Sounds like the car wants to dedicate itself for parades. Probably a bent shaft not good. Check side to side (horizontal) play as this could also cause it to bind/lock up.
