It's good to hear from you Alan! How is your Rampage project coming? I've been looking at the TC's for many years but I've always had other projects that take my car budget. I slowed the flow of other turbo Dodges a few years ago and have been looking for the right TC. The right car happened by and I couldn't resist. My new TC is yellow with a custom black and yellow interior and a black top. I added links to a few pictures below but they are horrible pictures. When the car comes back from the shop I'll post more/better pictures. The president of our local Shelby Dodge club posted a link to an ad in a small town paper listing a TC for sale. He wasn't asking much for the car so I didn't expect much. I wrote down the contact information but never made time to call him. The ad ran for at least three months before I finally called him. I expected a T2 but it was, indeed, a 16V. The car was as the seller described: The body is in decent shape, the paint is okay, the interior is in bad shape and it runs. The leather needs to be replaced throughout the car, what isn't cracked already is dry and will crack soon. The car started right up and seemed to boost well, but it bucks a bit trying to maintain any speed in lower RPM's. The car shifts well so I think the tranny is in good shape, but the clutch is stiff and it engages very quickly (too quick for my taste!). The car came to Texas from California in 2002 so it has no rust at all. The rear window for the soft top was missing, the hood struts aren't reliable and there are a few issues with several small plastic pieces. The wood grain on the console is missing the small strip just in front of the ash tray, but that appears to be a standard complaint. The odometer stopped working at 57K, I was told that happened in 2003. The car probably has 80K miles on it now but that is just a guess. And yes, the price was pretty low. I'll guess that Rick mentioned it to you already, news travels fast! This car will end up costing me a lot more than that in paint and interior, but if the engine and electronics are sound it will be worth it. I have my fingers crossed! I met Kirby (Tripblk16v here) today and got to see his nice TC's. Kirby lives less than five miles from me but I don't believe I have seen either of his TC's. He is a really nice guy, I hope that some day my TC looks half as nice as his beautiful triple black 16V!
