  1. https://classiccars.com/listings/find/all-years/chrysler/tc-by-maserati?ps=60&s=price
  2. I also have two daughters also, all grown up but they used to love rides in the convertible, last spring during the pandemic my brother asked if he could borrow the TC so my nephew could graduate HS in it, of course I said yes. Him and his wife in the front seats and my nephew with cap and gown on the tonneau cover, as I suspected as an afterthought I will be taking the car to a paintless dent removal place this spring to remove some slight buckling in the cover. I never mentioned anything to them and they did make the cover of there local news paper.
  3. Hoping to use the original but if for some reason I break a 32 year old valve, I'm looking for a "back up" option. As Reaper said it's made for a Jeep (Chrysler) application and some say it's a good replacement and some say no. https://www.allpar.com/threads/looking-for-fuel-tank-vent-valve.169565/ Either way when the time comes I will be as careful as possible using your advise to use the original, do these units fail over time? Also, I dont plan on rolling over my TC in the near future but will the wrong valve screw with engine performance? THANKS Hemi
  4. Thanks, I saw that after doing some homework, I'll invest $16 just in case I cant re-use the original.
  5. Thanks Reaper, got it, been there last summer with your help.
  6. Hi all, Shopping for a new fuel pump for my 16v (also tank & sending unit) any advise? Rock auto sells a bunch but none of them look like the electrical connectors in the manual (manual shows three pins, Rock auto options show two). Rock Auto sells all three items I'm looking for under "Spectra Premium" so I trust they are compatible but is Spectra a good line of products? While I'm under the car I'm also replacing the Cat converter, any brand advise? High flow? Direct fit? 2" in and out? THANKS AGAIN, Peter
  7. Hi Guys, Preplacing my fuel tank in a couple of months, lining things up. I'll replace everything, pump, sender, filler grommet and I guess the roll over valve, but I cant source one. I saw a post from ten years ago of a member having a tough time finding one and a recent post of how they are plastic and easily snap off if your not very careful when you pull the tank (which I will be). Do they fail after 32 years? does anyone have a part# or cross-reference, other vehicles that had the setup. Any tips are appreciated. Thanks, Peter
  8. Wish I was closer. https://www.facebook.com/groups/214587365752432
  9. Maybe I'll take a drive to Norwich in the spring and say Hi.
  10. Plumbinguy, where are you? I'm in Connecticut, I have a quote to repair/ reupholster my drivers side seat from a local shop ($400) I think I'm going to pull the trigger in the spring.
  11. Too bad, I like the Bosch wipers on my other cars, I try not to drive my TC in the rain but I'm sure I have gotten caught a few times.
  12. You must have a sharper eye than me, I looked up and down the list three times yesterday and did not catch it. Thanks
  13. I still dont think I'm on the list, not that I really care, just trying to keep up to date. Posted May 30 I dont think mine is in there, 203797 89 red/tan DOHC . In great shape inside and out. running great just during the summer, 17K miles, repaired the odometer wheel within a hundred miles of noticing it was broken a few years back.

  15. Hi Gang, My car is in storage for the winter but still think about issues I have to address in the spring. How do you drain/ remove old brake fluid from the reservoir, I saw in an old post that you need a special tool? 89 DOHC thanks for any help
  16. I know in my car the engine inspection light under the hood shorted out.
  17. Thanks Hemi, Another friend / car enthusiast (NASA engineer, really) told me the same, In the spring I will replace the tank and while I'm at it, the pump, about $200 for both. In the future can I also fill the tank completely and add a little dry gas to prevent condensation?
  18. Mine has recently done the same, running fine then acts like someone just turned off the ignition key, I can wait fifteen minutes and it will start, I suspect the fuel pump mainly because after it runs for a while there is a high pitch noise coming from the fuel tank, noticed it about a month ago when I had it on a lift. has anyone else had a noisy fuel pump, is that common? going into storage for the winter in a couple weeks and was going to deal with it in the spring. THX
  19. Thank you Hemi & Reaper, I of course will take your advise, I honestly wish I could repay the favor with exchanging some of my knowledge, but you two have me beat hands down. maybe some day?
  20. I love my 16v, and she's been running great lately especially after I replaced the pick up coil in the distributor, BUT, after she drives for a while there's a high pitch noise coming from the fuel tank, I'm assuming this is the pump with the sock filter on it (Is this noise normal?). then today going up a steep incline she lost her power and started sputtering, Its happened a few times over the past few years. I always try to keep her with more than half a tank and that seems to help a little. Any thoughts are appreciated as always. she's going to bed for the winter in a month but I love driving in the crisp fall weather with the foliage in New England. Maybe I'll just keep her topped off and Enjoy her another few weeks and deal with it in the spring. I occasionally put injector cleaner in, never done the Sea Foam thing, ????? THANKS
