Ed,
Think of a power window switch for a standard interior and rotate it 90 degrees. That would be the passenger side switch for vent windows. the drivers switch was a doubled up version. They were mounted where the crank handle would be for non power vent windows. My first 65 was dark blue with the light blue interior a 401 and EVERY option except reverb. It was a car I should have kept. But being a dumb high school kid I let it go to get a 71 Riv. A friend wanted it for a race car so I stripped the interior and other parts he didn't want off of the car. The wood wheel is now on my 65 GS.

PWB,
What you are looking for is listed on the Minneapolis, MN craigslist. Type in 73 Riviera.

It makes the triple black 73 for 80K look like a bargain.

John,
I don't have all the details but it started the same time as the racing car class "T". Class S was to address the various Ambulance and Hearse conversions that would show up to the Nationals as the Modified judging wasn't really fair to them. I am pretty sure Alan Oldfield was the person who got these classes started.

Bernie,
You can be judged in the "S" class. Cars that look like Buick could have built them but didn't. I had my 96 Riviera convertible judged in that class in 2012.

Must be a secret meet. I’m only one state away and can’t find any information on it.
Check page 6 of the July 2018 Bugle.

Randall,
Jayson P. was in attendance, so expect a picture of each car to appear somewhere in the future ( hopefully here -hint,
hint Jayson).

Still waiting.
Brian,
There are 9 BCA board members that can answer your question. You will find there names and contact information in any recent Buick Bugle. This is the best way to find out what you want.

Who is this DuPouli guy...never heard of him... DePouli...DePouli...? just a little humor Al, I actually don't care what you call me...
As for when I served my second term and the answer you are looking for it is very simple. BCA Member and BCA Accountant Joel Gauthier was still alive and did an excellent job as BCA accountant. I did absolutely nothing to ensure it was published during either my first or second term, but it was like clockwork as per By-law requirements, I assume because of Joel (and of course Pete, Bill Stoneberg, and The BCA office probably also had a hand in it.). I suspect Kevin would state the same. Sadly Joel passed and the BOD minutes reflect, a transition to the new accountant created the lapse. Why is this taken for anything but face value? I believe it should be published per the by-laws but I don't care that it was missed for a bit in light of the circumstances.
As for the money and all that stuff, I'm letting the elected BOD handle that in the best interest of the club...in the mean time I'm gonna enjoy my Buicks and the Bugle and the other members in the club who I visit with, hear from and help. In other words now that I have responded to my name being brought up I'm going back to my regularly scheduled program and suggest others do as well. It will be resolved and life will move on...
Al,
I agree with Brian's statement above. I would love to take credit for this but it would be a lie. As for Brian's last paragraph, I give it two thumbs up.

Surfgeek,
The green 72 isn't far from me, I can look it over if you are interested in it after talking to the owner.

Alan,
Check EBAY, I have found some good working units there.

Has anyone seen the video of this car on youtube? I lost count on the things done wrong during the redo ( this car was not restored ). The entire under side is the same black except for the exhaust. No flat or semi gloss difference, the steering components are also black except for the steering gear ( silver? really? ) The radio doesn't work, there is a small split in the drivers armrest. The GS emblems are red, not gold. The nose "R" is missing, The sunroof option required a vinyl roof if I remember correctly ( he keeps calling it an Moonroof AUGH!!! ). It has triple stripe redlines. There are other things as well. If you a cool with buying a slightly customized car, Okay. But if someone is looking for something authentic, you will be very disappointed.

The 2010 meet in Iowa was a judge on Friday, awards on Saturday show. The was an all makes show on Saturday that was a lot of fun. The Friday judging came in handy after the torrential rain on Friday morning ( which doesn't even compare to what happened a week later ). I thought it worked out rather well.

I followed Jason's advice and did a google search, whew, I haven't seen reviews like that since Randy Rymal was in business.

I will be there, via Denver. Things worked out to hit both meets this year.

Since you have the console apart for the headlight switch, there are two screws at the bottom radio panel, remove them. Remove the 4 screws that hold the switch panel above the radio and remove the radio knobs and remove the nuts at the radio control shafts ( they are behind the knobs ).

I spoke with him at Milwaukee, over 100K if I remember correctly. Not a very correct restoration ( done to show car standards, not correct standards). His plans were to show it for a few years then put it on the market.

I would agree with Paul, if you are looking for a drivetrain. Do NOT spend money to restore this car unless you love it, because you would not get your money back.

He has been trying to sell this for a couple of years now. Needs paint and bumper fillers. Overpriced IMO.

Old-Tank, You have had more snow than Minneapolis/ St. Paul Minnesota. And people say we're the frozen tundra.

If someone is interested in the 73, I can check it out for you. As Jason said, the color scheme does leave something to be desired but you will stand out at a car show.
I need opera lights on my 1985 rivera
