  1. EGGE Machine may have some. Or try OTTO GAS ENGINE WORKS.
  2. Snyder's is a Ford Supply house mainly but manufactures seat spring assemblies in house. Google Snyder's and add Ford parts, or antique, and it should come up
  3. Snyder's can build your seat springs if you can give dimensions.
  4. I did that accidentally, I also use MMO but I was glad I saw steam and shut things down quickly.
  5. I bought a Willys Knight and got it running and yes there was a bit of smoke. I ran it up the driveway without water in the radiator and stopped it before it really overheated but after that it smoked much less. I think it freed up stuck rings.
  6. Try EGGE MACHINE.
  7. Tell us why you are sure the seat hasn't been replaced. Kids could have spilled grape juice. or a smoker could have dropped a stogie ash. In '46 things were still hard to get so maybe the factory had to use what they could.
  8. Olsens Gaskets should be able to supply you. Most of the gaskets can be made from flat gasket sheets from the auto parts store and an Exacto knife.
  9. Heat is a good idea, I was successful removing brake fluid with brakeclean and a month+ buried in cat litter. Of course I wasn't needing the car for awhile!
  10. The original sealed beam headlights were fully adequate when the car was new, I would check the voltage and grounding. If good, 2 new sealed beams might make a difference. I found much brighter headlights after my cataract surgery!
  11. A project I will never get to, Drove it on the trailer and into its parking spot under cover. Some repairs have been done. Needs more, there is no cloth upholstery, some drivers door and top wood needs replacement but I have enough for patterns The body is exceptionally straight and most chrome is in excelent condition. Has a heater. $4,400. Located in the Eugene area of Oregon.
  12. You might want to consult an auto electric shop for some ideas or a x-reference.
  13. Didn't you see the humor in my post? I did give you a laughing emoji after all!
  14. You need to concentrate back on the antique auto hobby. Or find an organization to volunteer service to.
  15. The bulk of your operating funds would come from pre-sale to the potential participating members. At our last regional we also negotiated bulk discounts on lodging, catering and local attractions. Most of the outside business support was in the form of door prizes from local businesses which they could write off as advertizing. Other door prizes were encouraged to come from the other participating clubs. My artist wife made this birdhouse as a door prize. It is made to display an Ertel metal car bank.
  16. I worked at San Fernando drag strip (1/4 mile) as a teen. It went bye-bye soon after I moved on.
  17. Ask your Chamber Of Commerce, they can help with ideas, and maybe get involved if it will be benificial to your town.
  18. Some shops can rebuild mounts with new rubber. Someone will know.
  19. Wasn't the planetary transmission as used in the T Ford basically an automatic style trans. without the hydrolic servos?
