  1. Not sure, but 0.004 clearance is plenty especially since the cam is turning 1/2 speed of the crank.
  2. Since the clearance was not too tight it was an oiling problem.
  3. An old way used to decarbon engines is to use your hose to heavy mist water into the carburetor only enough to not stall and let it stall or turn off and leave it overnight. Start it the next day. Do this carefully as to not hydrolock the engine while it is running.
  4. Looks like a shot in downtown Culver City. My Grandmothers house just a few blocks south by the studios.
  5. Do an internet search for "the Filling Station" in Lebanon Oregon, they should be able to help you

  12. Check out a choke return spring for a model T Ford as they are similar.
  13. I guess to start, if the answer isn't readily available, would be to measure the linings that are on the car, if any. The thickness should be the closest next 1 to 3 available sizes depending on how worn they look. In the '20s the increments were in the 32nds I believe.
  14. If it is defective it should be still under replacement warrantee.
  15. It was all the money printed and given out so freely during the "pandemic"
