  1. Hey guys, thanks v e r y m u c h for your replies! You both own wounderful cars, I'm quite impressed. This gives me a vision of what I want to achieve and my decision is clear now: if I can get the car for 3000,- Euro (approx. 2600,- USD) I will go for it. DodgesavesUmoney: I lived in the rockies for a few months: during my forestry studies I worked for the Forest Service in Montana - best time of my life! Thanks once more and have a good weekend, Cromwell (Germany)
  2. Hi folks, about 30 guys have already read my privious message but I never got an answer yet. So PLEASE: how is the situation for spare parts on the 1938 Dodge D8 (4-door)? I really have to know soon because the guy I'm buying the car of is expecting my final answer (buy it or not?) within the netxt few days. I want that car bad but do not want to end up with a bunch of (beautiful looking) scrap metal that can't be fixed due to a known shortage of spares. Got the idea? Thanks very much in advance, Cromwell (Germany)
  3. Hi folks, does anybody have any (and I mean any ) information on the car mentioned above? I am about to buy one in fairly good shape and need to know: - any info on the engine (a straight six) - how is the general situation for spares (small stuff like bearings, gaskets, as well as for the big chunks like complete tranny, engine (parts), drive shaft) and where to look for them? - what are the snags on this one and where to look for them? - what is it worth (I know this is a hard one; it is 98 % complete and basically only scruffy, the engine seems sound, I don't know about the rest (transmission, ...). Maybe you can give me a frame). I would be happy about any info as I basically don't have a clue; I just like the damn thing and it's been sitting in my neighbours yard for ages... Thanks very much, Tom Jacob, Lahr (Black Forest, Germany)
