Are the new replacement Standard Water Pumps that Fusick sells that are made in China holding up about the same ? How often are people having to replace the Standard Water Pumps ? What success with the rebuilt GM pumps ?

  7. Original owner bought new here in Birmingham, AL at Drennen Motor Co., Inc. on March 17, 1972 and owned until 2003 when it had 69,251 miles. I have enough documentation to feel this is the actual miles. Always stored out of the weather. In 2003 a Buick enthusiast bought the car from the original owner who was a friend of their family. I recently purchased the car from him. Odometer now shows 89,996 I have the original window sticker which lists the following: (also have original Warranty Registration booklet) Standard equipment – Automatic, power steering, power disc brakes, deluxe wheel covers Options: 350 – 4bbl AM-FM Rear speaker White wall tires H78-15 Firm ride and handling package Tinted glass Rear window defogger Front and rear bumper guards Bumper protective strips Door guards Remote control outside mirror Power windows Protective side moldings The second owner spared no expense in keeping the car in top shape. Most service was done locally by Hesco Inc., a first rate shop specializing in high performance and exotic cars. From 2003 until this year some things done: Installed factory original Sandalwood vinyl roof (2003) Resprayed with original color Sandalwood in basecoat/ clearcoat (2007) Water pump (changed Timing chain and gear while doing the water pump) Alternator, Starter, Shocks, Brakes, Carb rebuild Battery, Tires, Idler arm and pitman arm Regular oil changes and transmission and rear end fluids changed as well. These service records will go to the new owner. Ice cold A/C There is no body damage. Original door panels and headliner very nice. All seat belts and shoulder harnesses very nice. The steering is very tight & smooth. The factory AM/FM is included (condition unknown). A cassette player was installed for the second owner with no butchering of the dash. The car has not been detailed, it is nice under the hood and the undercarriage is original with no heavy undercoating hiding things. This car is ready to drive anywhere Please contact Steve at 205-422-8967 with questions. for pictures 1972 Buick LeSabre Custom 2 dr Sport Coupe survivor - a set on Flickr The State of Alabama does not issue titles for vehicles of this age.
