  1. Hello Antonio: Your car is a 1927 model EU Standard Six - W body - Coustom Sedan. I hope that this will help. Regards: SamB
  2. Post a photo of the motor. Look on the left side behind the front wheel on the frame for the serial number tag. Post the serial number that is one the frame along with the motor serial number with a photo of the motor. Look for the motor serial number, for the standard six it is stamped just below the water jacket cover on the right side of the motor. If it is a big six it is stamped behind the generator on the front right corner of the block. Regards; SamB
  3. Hello Out there in antique car land. I sure need help. I have been restoring a 1927 Studebaker Roadster on and off for the last 14 years. I have it almost complete and after geting it running found that the motors head is no good. I need a head for the Standard Six motor. The motor in my car is a EU model and was only used in 1927. The casting # for this head is 123097-4 F.8.24. For the time being I can use one from the ER Standard Six motor that was used in 1925 and 1926. The casting # for this head is 123097-4 E.6.15. The difference between the two heads is that the EU model has an outlet for a temperature blub and the ER model does not. I have attached a photo showing the defference between the two heads. If you have one or know someone that may please contact me at sbb@centurytel.net Regards: SamB

I had the head checked for cracks but not for thickness, and when they milled the head they cut too much off and it cracked in #1 cylinder. I hope to find a head soon. Regards: SamB

  7. The 1925-1927 Studebaker Standard Six model's used this type of drive shaft coupling. It was probley used for other Studebaker model years. I bought a complet set for my 1927 Studebaker off of ebay. I have also seen an add in Hemming's Motor News selling these disk. You may try calling Steven Munts as he may have these disk. His phone # is 509-892-9258. I got some small disk that drives the accessary package on the standard six motor from him. I hope that this will help. Regards: SamB
