  1. Help.. I have lost the two clips that cover the joint between the upper and lower stainless steel reveal mouldings that fit into the windshield gasket on my '38 Dodge D8, 4 door sedan. I am told that the Dodge parts catalogue shows Part Number 787854 for the parts, but that possibly Part Number 778614 may fit. Can anyone help, or tell me where I might look for these two small parts? Any help will be appreciated. I may be reached at email add: wbower3@yahoo.com., or at this forum. Thanks, Walt.

  3. Cromwell, I have a 1938 D8, four door sedan. I have had no problems getting engine parts, front suspension parts, brake parts etc. I don't have a photo of my car, as it is up on jack stands at present, having just been re-painted, I will tkae it down and it will go to a muffler shop for a complete new exhaust, and then I will start on the interior. Body parts may be harder to find. Another '38 owner recently pointed me at Moore's Auto Salvage in South Dakota as a source. Their website lists the vehicles they currently have in stock. Fortunately, I did not need any body parts, my need stems fro
  4. Steve, I swapped a 217 ci and a231 ci engines locally in Okla. City for a latemodel 318 ci engine. The 217 was running when I pulled it out of a 1938 Dodge, The 231 was out of a '41 Dodge, and it was freshly rebuilt. 10/10 crank, new bearings, .030 over pistons, new rings, haedened valve seats on he exhaust and new valves. I drove the 231 ci engune in the 1938 Dodge sedan about 30 miles before it was parked in 2000. I have since pulled it and replaced it with the 318 v8. The231 ci engine may use a different flywheel than your 1937. Otherwise it will bolt up to the 37 clutch housing, as I a
  5. Help.... It's been too long since I took my headlights apart, and I am not able to remember how the reflector goes back in the bucket. I also need to know if there is a gasket on the refelctor, other than the gasket between the headlight bucket (body) and the lense. My shop manual does not address this situation. I guess this is what I get for waiting so long to put it back together.
