  1. Dan, I had a very similar problem with my 39 D11 a while back.. What i did was put a little rubber hose on the end of the fuel line coming from the tank and stuck my air blower in there and started with 10 PSI and moved up from there. It took about 35 to 40 PSI before i heard a pop and then it was clear. What i think happened was the gas makes like a hard varnish seal over the outlet line on the fuel tank.. Just be very careful, if the tank is weak somewere and you put in that much pressure if your fuel filler cap is not off you are going to blow a hole in the tank. Or if the little nipple from the tank is weak and the varnish seal is very stubborn you will again punch a hole in that hard line coming from the tank. Just work slow and use real small air pressure increases. I hope that helps!! Also by the way i used to run a little electric pump on the fuel line too.. I never got the car running right like that. I got a new mechanical fuel pump and the car ran like a champ. Also one last thing disconnect the line from the carb and run the air through the line that way as well.
  2. EBAY AUCTION LINK Car is now on Ebay. Please click the above link if you would like to veiw or bid. Thanks
  3. Anyone interested? I still have this car available.
  4. I have rebuilt the carb on this car, replaced the cap, rotor, plugs, condensor, spark plugs and ignition wires. Also replaced the master cylinder. If anyone is interested let me know. Car pretty much needs nothing at this point but a driver that will take good care of her.
  5. I think I will be able to figure it out Thom. No need to send. Thank you sooo much to everyone that helped me out on this..
  6. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"><div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Dave, I'm slightly confused. The MOTOR's Auto Repair manual lists the firing order as 1-5-3-6-2-4. </div></div> My wiring diagram for a Dodge,D8 (218)shows the firing order as 1-5-3-6-2-4, and that is how my motor is hooked up. I have attached a tune-up page that shows this in a diagram. Hope this helps. </div></div> Thom I didnt see any attachements could you retry? Thanks
  7. So based on the correct firing order does the description here still apply or should i follow the firing order as i put them on the cap in clockwise fashion? By the way thanks guys I owe you big time!!! Look for up and coming posts as well I have a ton of parts Im listing for sale. I have like 3 carb, waterpump, and all kinds of assorted trim goodies!! All from the 39.
  8. Anyone have the firing order of the motor? Also need either a wiring diagram or possible picture of the distributor cap with wire placement so i know where the wires go back on. My brother was helping me out and the Dist cap was removed and a whole bunch of the wires popped off before i could take a picture or number them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  9. Car needed a new fuel pump. I purchased the new pump but have yet to put it in. I hope to do so in the next week or two when i have time. The car turns over as it sits but will not fire due to the faulty pump in it now. I will update the post once the new pump is in and see if i can get some video of it running posted up.
  10. Anyone looking for a great solid car that needs little to no work? Also just purchased a brand new battery for the car.
  11. Here are some pictures. The only blemish on the car is the driver side rear fender has some scratches. Pics included.
