  13. Can I ask a favor of you? On top of the cowl under the hood where the rear end of the hood hinge fits into the chrome bracket there is another bracket spot welded to the cowl that the chrome bracket screws to. See pic. I removed the spot welded bracket to repair rust under it and now I have a gap I didn't notice before. What am I missing here? Thanks. John

  17. I have settled on a grey for the interior of the 37 1/2 ton I'm restoring. I'm going to use the same grey I used on a 38 Plymouth 1/2 ton I did some time ago. It is a Nason Acrylic Enamel single stage. I'll try to post a sample picture along with the formula and Nason stock number tomorrow. John
  18. Your pipe idea is a good one. I can cut the PVC easy enough. I can deal with some bending as shown in your pics. How much do you want for them? If it helps I could trial fit the pieces I have and send the pipe/elbow parts to you for shipping. My address is John Worden 405 Green Mountain Road Green Mountain, Iowa 50632
  19. I'm in central Iowa. I will look at the pieces today to see if I can recommend answers to the shipping question. I have experience shipping odd parts. I may have to send a container of some sort to use. Thanks. John
  20. I would buy a complete bucket if necessary or an otherwise useless bucket. Removing the socket is tricky because they are thin brass and distort easily. I soak them with penetrant and tap them gently to free them. Look carefully for the metal retaining tab that has to be bent away from the socket before removal. Don't pry against the socket. John
