Guys, I saw what looked like oil drops on the concrete under the engine of my 90 Reatta convertible. Should I be worried? I just have the engine tuned up and oil changed and the mechanic was impressed and said my car was running great! Ansel

Guys, I have a black reatta convertible with light grey interior. The "faceplate" on the digital dashboard is black with silver trim around the edges. Is there anyway to spraypaint this all black or all silver to give it a "clean" look. Right now the silver paint on the edges are all chiped. Has anyone done this? How do you get the faceplate off without cracking it? Thanks.

How do I clear the "Door Adjar" light from coming on? I think it has to do with the driver side door lock button. It doesnt go up/down very easily (and doesnt lock when I put the car in gear). I light comes on when I put the car in drive. What do I remove to fix this?

The passenger window is very SLOW to move when raising and lowering the window. It's about to die soon. How do you go about replacing the window motor with a new one to fix this? Does the whole door have to come off? Is it easy to do or should the dealer handle this?

I brought my Reatta in for a full tune up. The mechanics came back very impressed with the clean condition of the engine! They ran a diagonstic on the engine and agreed with me/everyone here about the check engine light. It is due to a faulty camshaft magnet. They quoted $600+ part and labor to replace. They said it is a very minor part and doesnt affect the performance of the engine, etc. I have chosen to ignore it. Would you guys agree?

My mechanic says he found what looked like plastic parts from the clutch pack come out in the pan when the transmission fluid/filter was changed. Should I be worried??? He said the engine is in great condition. Clean and well maintained. The test drove it afterwards and it runs fine.

Guys, Me being all thumbs when it comes to car repairs can't change out the Camshaft magnet myself to clear the E041c error message for the Check Engine Light. How do I go about telling a Buick dealer that this is what needs to be done? Are they gonna listen or want to run a diagonistic themeselves? Are they gonna charge me and arm and a leg?

So, is there a way to delete the old "h" codes leaving on the "c" one?

All, All of a sudden, the latch to release the hood doesn't work. I pull on it and nothing happens. What could be causing this? Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks

Guys, The Service Engine Soon light has come on in my 90 Reatta convertible. The car runs great (especially on the expressway). Can this be an electrical glitch within the electrical dashboard or does the engine need servicing and if so what? The car has 160K miles on it. I don't know when the timing chain was last replaced. Also, The "Door Adjar" light comes on and stay on while driving. None of the doors are open so I don't know it is saying this. Again, can it be a electrical short? Suggestions? Anselmail
