You may contact me at gawrose@aol.com and send the pre-registration form as attached file. I need your response to determine those attending and provide you with all details, fees, lodging and banquet, as well as other activities that weekend. Let me hear from you!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Check the courtesy mirror wires in the sunvisors.
  5. For TC Members living in the KY, TN, IN, OH, VA, GA, MO, AL, FL areas. I will again be hosting the Kentucky Region "Hamburger Run" meet in Berea, KY. Scheduled dates are the weekend of September 15,16 & 17. This is also the weekend for the annual "Spoonbread Festival". This year, however, instead of "all" three days, I plan the dates for 16 & 17, and those wanting can partiicipate in the Spoonbread car show. With this in mind you would only need lodging for 1 night, unless you prefer to stay more, at which you would receive the room at a discount rate. The hotel and rates will be forthcoming in the June TC America Newsletter along with a registration form that you can return to me. I hope that this year will be a good one. Look for more information here!
  6. That is the correct web again: www.kentuckycarshows.com
  7. I've had the best luck in obtaining MANY parts for NAPA Auto Parts stores. And they usually warrant them for the life of the car (owner).
  8. In my case, just worn, not sure why, I've replaced motors mounts, struts, engine has been centered and it is riding and running like new now.
  9. For those living in the KY,Oh,TN,VA,IN,GA,AL region I'll be hosted another meet in September in Berea, KY. Information forthcoming in the next TC America Newsletter (registration forms). Also, other cruise nights at www.kentuckycarshows.com.
  10. If you like a fun car for the summer. Yes. I have an 89 Red, original owner. Before buying check front axles. I've replaced my 3 times. Hard to find, but NAPA Auto parts can usually find whatever part you may need in the future. I use NAPA brakes, rotors and most other items. Good Luck. By the way I live in central KY and the my TC has held up very well during winter. Glenn

  12. I have '89 TC Red and HAD the egg shell foam insulation which was original. I've removed it just by tearing it out, piece by piece. I then use 3m adhesive remover, lightly, to remove any excess dried adhesive. I then made a pattern of of the hood underside. Had uphosltery shop make a liner from a very durable carpet like material (fireproof), then used padding under the "liner", adhesived all to the hood. If you would like pictures of what I had done, email me at gawrose@aol.com. LOOKS REAL GOOD AND GOOD AT CAR SHOPS.
  13. The first Kentucky Region TC Hamburger Run 2005 has just come to a close. Even though there were only a few TC'c to attend, all those in attendance had an enjoyable weekend. Invitations were to all TC owners within a 3-5 hour drive of Berea Kentucky (see Jun and Sep TC newsletters). I would hope that next year there will be more to respond and come to the 2nd Kentucky Region Hamburger Run in Berea, Kentucky. A special thanks to all those that did attend.
  14. Find good leather goods shop. I found good match at a material/leather craft shop.
  15. I removed Trunk, hood and rear seat compartment courtesy lights, since don't have problem. I just removed the bulbs, accept the hood light, I removed the entire wiring, socket, etc.
  16. What was the difficulty with the AC? My is in need of expansion valve plus change over to R134 from R12.
  17. I had same problem in 2000. Found out that my mechanic had replaced the shocks, with my approval of course, but determined they were incorrect. Found replacement shocks at NAPA, part # LE10052. No more problem.
  18. I not only drive my '89 TC daily, but I also, when I can, enter it in car competition in the KY area. I've many trophies over the past 5 years with one being "best of show" for import. As for gas mileage, I suppose it gets about 18-20 mpg city and as much as 24 hwy. My odometer is not working, and gather it has about 180,000 miles. At present, to espensive to replace. Just complete front end work - new axles, motor mounts, strut bearing/bushing, all new hoses, belts, new tires. I supposed that all total, not more than $15,000 in repairs and maintenance since purchase in Oct 89. I'm original owner.
  19. Thanks for the infor. Under what circumstances would you need to replace this SMEC?
  20. WHAT IS SMEC? WHAT DOES IT DO FOR ENGINE PERFORMANCE? WHERE WOULD YOU OBTAIN THIS ITEM/PART? HOW IS IT INSTALLED - SELF OR MECHANIC? THANKS.
