Sidenote: We are probably talking about this automobile - which if nothing catastrophic with engine should be worth more that 25K (given a cabriolet and even older restored, smaller series, and etc.).

John - Nope/a misnomer/inacurate statements (though a fair warning in some regards as there have at times been some sketchy dealers out there, just as some sketchy appraisers out there too). An appraiser is fine in all aspects, thought in actuality a very solid/significant number of appraisals are actually done by dealers - accepted by all insurance companies, courts, and etc. (they just need to do them in volume and have a resume to stand behind such) - and yes, Shawn has sold plenty of Locomobiles and very active in AACA, CCCA, ACD Club, Packard Club, Cadillac Club, and etc. Also, significantcars.com is a consignment dealership (so, excellent in avoiding potential conflict).

It is even more fun on a Duesenberg with chrome wires and double whitewalls and of course to add to the fun let's do sidemounts with metal covers and an exposed backside of whitewall tire.

A great automobile

Wow, that is visually challenging matched to needing a lot of work

I can rebuild both a RR and Buick (been there and done that) just takes a small village, a check writing ability, resourcefulness, possibly stupidity, and ..... - anyway I would take on a 20hp, 20/25, or 25/30 via 100 times greater enthusiasm than a PI, PII, or PIII, but the only problem is that for most of the cars you need a near free PI, PII, or PIII to offset rebuild costs. Sidenote: take a PI apart and then tell me about rebuilding one (they were pretty mindblowing advanced when new and for that matter in their own way still are). Add'L sidenote: I was at friend's shop and his machinist took apart a rather exotic motor and then made a pile of parts that needed replaced - they called me and asked for advice as they could not find the parts. Well, let's just I was kind in a rather brutal kind of way. A Rolls Royce is a lot like that - just saying.

Correct

Nice car, though given it being a 20/25 (the smaller horsepower car) and a sedan (albeit a good looking sedan) you have to have a rather exceptional low mileage car with even more exceptional restoration on it to get into that price range (which is may be).
