  1. a '64 wildcat, i'm sitting in the driver's seat. Does anybody know if I can only put 1 photo in every post that i do?
  2. 1912 buick. there were 2 1912's, which were the oldest at the show, but I only took a photo of this one because the other is in my local club and I was only taking photos of interstate cars.
  3. a row of 60's buick's and a 57 roadmaster which won the award for furtherest traveled car, the owner's brought it up from Tasmania which is an island state so it had to go on a barge.
  4. 1954 Special which won the award for best car overall at the meet. Owner is standing next to it, from the Victorian club.
  5. thanks for your response, but my dad just showed me how to do it so I'm going to give it another go. This should be the 1920's hearse.
  6. I have been trying to put the photos up, but I can not make them small enough, got any tips?
  7. Hello, I thought some people may be interested that this weekend we had the Australian National Meet on, I have just returned home from it. It is held only every 2nd year, which makes the interest levels high. The venue was the Hunter Valley region in New South Wales. There were aproximately 80 cars registering, the earliest models being 1912 and the most recent being 1978. Awards were handed out for each decade, as voted by members, and the overall best car was a 1954 Special. Interesting cars were a 1918 racer and a mid 20's hearse (not sure of exact year). I have some photos if anyone is interested in having a look. regards, Aaron
  8. Hello, I live in AUstralia and would like to buy a 1956 service manual. There is a few I have seen on ebay but they only sell to USA.
  9. i was gradually increasing my bid by $100 to see what the reserve price was. i eventually got to 7 grand and stopped and the reserve wasn't reached. i then saw the car for sale in a magazine asking for 15 grand - interesting to see if it sells, bit out of my range unfortunately.
  10. re : link from Buick racer. yes, i have been bidding on that. would save me a lot of money on shipping if i could get one here.
  11. Is it running? what $$$ are you looking for?
  12. i am actually in australia but i am prepared to pay for shipping. i don't really have a preference, i think all the 56 and 57's look great, however i would prefer a manual, but either would be fine. about 8 grand $US is the most i have to spend though.
  13. Hello, I would like to purchase either a 56 or 57 Buick. thanks
  14. Hey guys, thanks for youre help, i am glad i was cautious about this. they keep sending me email's saying to send money to indonesia. it's too risky, i doubt that if i send money to indonesia i am going to receive a buick. the ad description is very suspicious. as you said, things like "50 years old next year" and the low price, i am sure the car shown could attract more than 5 grand. just shows that you have to be aware. anyway, i look forward to being a fellow buick owner eventually. i have just joined my local club, which is Queensland Buick Club, Australia. a '57 is my favourite, so hopefully i get an opurtunity to be an owner.
  15. hello, i live in australia and i have been hoping to purchase a 50's Buick so i thought the red '55 on ebay was a beauty. i put in a bid which came out as winning bid, but unfortunately it seems a bit suspicious to me. i requested contact details which the seller did not make available. the only method of sale they requested was a bank deposit, which their account was in some asian bank, i think it was indonesia. they have no feedback on ebay, and although this isn't really something to go off, they couldn't spell their english properly (as is seen in the ad the model is listed as a "spesial"). what do you guys think? i am very cautious because 5 grand is a large amount of money for me.
