  1. Why don't you send me some pics. I may know someone who would like it. I'd buy it but unless you'r interested in trading for a medium built 455 I probably couldn't afford it. My motor came out of a 68 98 that i drove for a few weeks before I pulled the motor and I really fell in love with the car.
  2. Okay. I'l take $4500 but I'm keeping the distributor, wires and carb. Last offer before it goes on ebay and I'd hate to do that.
  3. Hi guys. I'v fallen on some hard times and I have bills to pay. It's the ONLY reason I'm selling my motor. This motor is from a 68 olds 98. I had all the machine work done to it includign line bore and bored .030 over with torque plates. Inside of blok was smoothed and debured, all the oil return passeges were ported and polishied and interior surfaces coated with glyptol oil slick to speed oil return. Oil feed passages from the pump were bored out and smoothed, Nodular crank which was turned .010 under and cross drilled for improved oil flow.Clevitt 77 bearings. factory rods were smoothed and matched to forged pistons with gapless rings. Cam is a somp cams extream energy xe274 grind, comp cams coated pushrods, Harland sharp roller rockers, edelbrock heads that were milled to give 10.25:1 compression, heads were pressure tested for leaks also as I was hearing horror stories about edelbroks leakign from the factory. Torker 2 intake was port matched to the heads and smoothed and matched to the carb. Carb was custom built for this motor by Dean Oliver, it is a quadrajet. Motor has a good ballencer, stock water pump, double roller chain, new flex plate, msd pro billit distributor msd cap and wires. All arp bolts and studs, good head gaskets, melling 7 queart oil pan with pickup and windage trey and the olds diesel pan gasket with studs not bolts for the pan. This motor was in my trans am for probably no more than 1000 miles. I barely got it timed right (the first ballencer was marked 20 degrees off) and tuned before it tore up the trany and rear end. I drive the car to Madison 4 or 5 times, 35 miles each way. and around town a few weekends that's it. I changed the oil after cam break in and again after 500 mles. I always change it again at 2000 and it hasn't had that oil change yet. The car sat in my shop for a year as I din't have money to fix it then someone made me a good offer for the body. I pulled the motor and sold the car. it's been on a stand since last fall in my garage. It was going in my 75 cutlass but its being sold now too. I'd like to get $6000 for the motor but make an offer. I'm not going to give it away though. You can not build this motor for that price even if you do all the assembly. only thing the motor needs is valve covers as it has standard height ones now and it has two gaskets to clear the rockers. 4. I'm looking for an original 8 track player for my 75 cutlass supream. If anyone has one or can point me in the right direction then please contact me.
