  3. For those of you that are thinking about doing the brake upgrade. 2002 Buick Park Ave. Calipers will fit the 12" Rotors from a 1997 Aurora or 2002 Buick Park Rotors and are interchangeable. Don't let the parts #s fool you. They are the same. (I checked) All you need is the bolts and a drill to complete the job.
  4. I was looking up part #s on the GM site and came across a strange problem. I was looking at Brake Calipers for a 1997 Olds Aurora, 2002 Buick Park Ave., 2000 Buick Park Ave. First let me explain: I have a chance to pick up Calipers from a 2002 Buick Park Ave. very cheap. Now the part # for the 2002 Park Ave. are:LF#= 18046196 & FR#= 18046197 Part # for the 1997 Olds Arora are:LF#= 18046196 & RF#= 18029819 Part # for the 2000 Buick Park Ave are:LF# 18046196 & FR#= 18029819 Can someone give me an educated guess why the part number for the 2002 is different for only one side? HELP JON...

  16. No, The mileage ie stored in the computer.
  17. I just faxed a copy of Barney's directions to the Buick Dealer. As I am leaving first thing in the morning I could not take it to them.
  18. I took a copy of the direction from the Reatta .net site for flushing the brakes with me today and gave it to the mechanic. I hope he reads them.
  19. About two and one half months ago (350 miles) I had the local Buick dealer flush the brakes on my 90 Reatta. (113,000 miles) Yesterday When doing some other work on car. (It is, or was put up for the winter) I noticed that the Brake fluid was dark in color. So I removed some with an old antifreze tester and sure enough it was very dark. Now, my question is, if the dealer flushed the system how did the fluid get so dark? This mourning I took the car out of storage and drove it back to the dealer and raised HE-double toohpicks with them. They agreed that the fluid should not be dark after only 350 miles. I spoke to the one mechinic that I trust (he was not the one that "Flushed" the brakes) He said that it is a possibility that one or more of the Hoses could be causing the problem. Does this sound reasonable? I left the car with the dealer for the week, as I will be out of town until next monday.

    Struts

There's noyhing wrong with Sam's for tires. I went there for 4 tires and got Dunlop top of the line tires for my 90. They came and asked me for the tool to take off the caps. Then they put the weights on the inside , as I asked. when they got ready to put the wheels back on the car, they asked me what the torque was for the wheels. It took about 45 minutes and $390.00 and the tires were special ordered for me. + I have tire repair as long as I keep the car at any Sam's in the USA or Canada for free. What else can you ask for?
