No-Reserve 1917 Studebaker Model ED Project With Two Bodies

Are there any companies still re-silvering head light reflectors for our rides?
-
Found this on Facebook marketplace; not mine, but looks like a worthwhile project.

Thank you so much for that information. Would you happen to know anything about the bumpers I’m looking for which other cars might use the same type maybe from another make of car
Near as I can tell from the Chassis Parts Catalog, ALL Rockne's, 75, 65 and 10 used the same bumpers, and they were not shared with any other Studebaker model.

If it helps, your engine water outlet would be Studebaker Part # 172416, also used on 1930 through 1933 Studebaker Models 54 and 55.
The hub cap is Studebaker Part # 175619 for wire wheels and used on ALL Rockne Models '32 and '33.

I haven't been able to access the SDC Forum for two days. I thought maybe it was down for maintenance, or perhaps a host change.
-
Why not post it on the SDC Forum? That's where the after WWII owners congregate, and it's VERY active. Except for RIGHT NOW. It appears to be down for maintenance.

'50 and '51 only; not '52 or '53.

I would check with Restoration Specialties in Windber, Pennsylvania for the window channel. And place a want ad in the Antique Studebaker Review for the Rockne emblem. Assume you mean the one that goes at the top of the grill?

Distributor cap should be available here. http://special-interest-autos.com/

I thought this might help but, I guess not. 😕

I would check with Special Interest Auto Electric Service.

If you have a pump there are people who can rebuild it, with an online search.
If you do not have one I can't help. https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=antique+water+pump+rebuilding+service&ia=web

Would like to hear from others with 1935 studebakers. Does your vent have a screen? Did they come with screens?
I would hope so. better to have a yellowjacket on the screen than in the cabin! 😬

Well, I hit it tonight and found 8 pages of new posts...
Is that the SDC web site, or the SDC Forum? The Forum never went down, as it's on a separate server.
The web site does not accept public posts.
-
The service provider went down and ALL sites they hosted were effected.
It's now back up but may need some tweaking . Patience.

The ignition switch for my '33 Rockne is in the coil, bolted in to the back of the dash. The coil was failing and I sent it out to be rebuilt.
-
Originally called for a Champion C-7.
Given all the improvements over the past 90 years, are there any modern crossover brands and/or models recommended?

Not quite sure what you are asking, Herman.
The vacuum motor for the wipers is located behind the header board above the windshield. You need to remove that interior header board to access it.

The data plate is on the outside of the frame rail, drivers side, just about at the rear of the FRONT fender. The body tag is on the lower cowl, drivers side under the hood. Looks like a nice car, not my specialty but good luck. You can post the serial number here and body tag info and get it ID'd
