  1. Thanks Lou, Jim got the deal. Will pop in on occasion. Keep on risottoing!
  2. Oh, and absolutely get a sway bar in back at least....
  3. Got the deposit Jim so this one's gone folks.
  4. OK, lots of attention-I have to make it 1st Paypal $500. deposit gets it to be fair. Look at the good and the warts and email me a phone # if you want to hear start & run live. houseofcharm at optonline dot net is the email, man, I'll miss this when the mercury hits 60'F, cheers
  5. I should ask premiums for the antique pieces we sold to Hollywood's elite that have been traded in-especially the beds! Note our wall of fame: http://houseofcharmantiques.com/public.html
  6. Pics sent. It's also had all new gas struts except on the hood.
  7. A find but about 2X the value...
  8. Do both (and a hi flow cat) and you'll never look back, except maybe at flashing blue lights...
  9. Nice ad BUT, I beg to contradict this bold statement having owned a couple of both: THIS 1990 MODEL COMES WITH THE PROVEN RELIABLE 3.0 LITER CHRYSLER V6 AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.THIS IS AN IMPROVEMENT OVER THE 4 CYLINDER MOTOR THAT ORIGINALLY CAME IN THE EARLIER CARS. I am envious of the 4th speed in the trans though... I'm sure some in here would , however, agree with you.
  10. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: 89TC-16V</div><div class="ubbcode-body">that car with the new exhuast sounds great in person, ive head it leaving and coming to my house before, car is a very nice vehicle. nobody will be disappointed with it</div></div> I should have let you drive it...you'd be a convert to the 8v'ers....
  11. OK, here's a comparable that sold -at this guys $$, mine should be 5900. Like boost gauge though... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=006&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=160209028301&rd=1 And another one that's bringing some dough. I should pay a dealer to list mine-they seem to bring bigger bids. This one didn't even sell although it looks cleaner than mine if you can handle the wino hurl color interior-much prefer baby stain tan. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=011&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=320219321602&rd=1

  13. Also have aftermkt rugs and nice originals as well. And a small kit of touch up paint.
  14. Here's some video of the exhaust and and speed:
  15. James and Tom, sent zip file but got rejected for size. Will try individually.
  16. Congrats Tim. Hardly lazy if you tackled this job. Try a SMEC from one of the hopup places, a K&N drop in and a 2.5 cat and catback. That should be good for about 200 horsies. I had to humble a 91-93 Acura legend coupe the other day with that setup and the wheezy 3 speed-they make about 200.
  17. Thanks for all the support (like Bartles & James used to say). This is my most frivolous vehicle and the least practical for me it's so 1st on the chopping block. Someday I'd like a low miler survivor car to hotrod like this one. Fortunes will change for the better soon to offset the 20-30k med bills/year though-that's on top of 850. month 'health' 'insurance'. And I'll still remain a poster boy...
  18. OK, my car is really for sale this time-need to pay off medical bills. 1989 Cabernet/ginger/ginger, 73k miles, 2 Dr. owners, nicely upgraded w/SMEC, new 2.5" cat&exhaust with nice hum to it, 2 tops to chose form, cab or white, 17" SRT rims(lightweight!), orig ugly rims included with good michelin's for winter driving, drilled discs in front, rear antiswaybar(huge improvement), KYB rear shox, Mopar fronts, K&N drop in, Maserati badges proudly added, 2 ragtops included(original and an extra decent cond one when eventually needed), odometer professionally done by Wayne, headlight condoms installed, refinished shift knob. Tool kit/umbrella, TC Amer. newsletters, and shop manual included. All the things that MUST be done to any newly acquired TC was done at the start(belts, all flushings, gas hoses, all tune up parts) so that adds value. This is one of the fastest 8v TC's, maybe 200hp and 0-60 6.5-7.0 now as it SHOULD have been from 1989 on. Stock TC's get beaten by a Prius so this car is much safer on our much more aggressively driven roads. Things needing eventual attention: the classic seat controls dropped in to console(all work well though), porthole fogging, paint was done years ago(far better job than orig) and has a number of small marks generally throughout(closeups avail) but overall shines well and gets compliments still), tiny non penetrating chip on drivers light-sealed by protector, seat and wheel leather typically worn-a good leatheriquing will works wonders. Later model stock radio with a cd player needing adjustment. Overall a decent appearing TC-not as mint as the low milers out there but selling for 1/2 to 1/3 the price of those (and you'll embarrass them at the stoplight and exit ramps) at 3950. I have over 9000. into it so take advantage of the work already done for you. Many more photos avail:
  19. Wow! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220202808742&category=33703
  20. I like the 'makes it more exotic' line. Yeah, like an exotic Grand Am... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170195446314&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:us
  21. Thanks for the pics and input-will try the disconnect when the snow melts...
  22. I wish I had been able to drive another 89 to compare-could just be normal 1980's turbo lag...
  23. Thanks again, can I just move my original one or does it need bolstering up or replacing? And how much of a difference does it actually make? My only real complaint now is spool up time is about 2-3 seconds (down form 5-7 before and 6-9 when stock).
  24. I have the newer Alpine units with the CD built in-gotta say the 3 I've had have gone sour on the CD player end it though...
