  3. Hello, I'm working on a 1931 Chrysler model (CM)... engine and tranny are not original... Can anyone tell me how the lever action shocks come out of the car? Are the tie rod ends interchangable with any other model, make year, of a car? Does this sound right, when trying to "bounce" the car, it is very stiff, wont budge..I know its not the shocks as I can move them by hand.. Any info would be greatly appreciated.. 4. Hello I'm Dave, just starting doing some work on a 1936 Piece Arrow 1602... I live in Torrance, Cal. and the car is in Gardena, Ca..I'm doing the work for a friend, If anyone is close to Torrance and can give some help, or just like to stop by and see the car, let me know. I can not tell you much history about the car, except that it is a driver, the body is in very good condition, as is the interior. Mechanically the car seems to be in very good condition, except for the following items i've noticed. 1. the inside fan pully belt is very loose, is it adjustable 2. is the Fan bearing greasable 3. is the center section of the hood attached to anything or just laying in place..this one seems not to be held by anything, and as sleeped off when both sides of the hood are raised at the same time. 4. the front shudders do not have the rod to actuate them 5. how are the spare wheels attached to the body, is there a locking mechanism that holds it? Probably have alot more questions to ask, but would be real cool if someone who is a Pierce Arrow expert could stop by the shop... The owner as the following cars in his collection. 1925 Flint 1925 Hudson 1949 Hudson Commadore conv 1954 Packard conv 1956 Packard 400 HT 1956 Lincoln capri just to name a few, some Studes and other hudsons around hope to hear from someone soon.
