  1. I have pulled the rear axel and torque tube assembly from my 55 Special, and am looking to buy a kit to stop it from leaking from the torque ball. I believe there are different qualities available, from the different vendors. Do you guys have any advice as to which manufactorer has the best quality kit?
  2. I just love this thread so much I had to take it up front again Found this post on Cardomain, and a link to a picturesite with more than 100 pictures, from a San Diego swapmeet held Friday February 27. Amongst the pictures was this neat old Buick truck I thought you might like to see. To me that looks like it was done many moons ago. Here is the rest of the pictures : http://www.bangshift.com/gallery/2009-Big-3-Swap-Meet-San-Diego-gallery.html
  3. Thanx for all the positive comments about my "doctored" images. The wagon rearend crafted to the original LaCrosse pictures are actually from the new (they are not going to like this ) Toyota Avensis. The Avensis is an european built salesleader for Toyota, I dont think you have a similar model in the US. http://www.velocityjournal.com/journal/2009/toyota/20373/index.html The styling of that wagon tail and sidepanels (level to the ground, big spoiler on top) is how it's supposed to look over here in 2009, the latest rage if you will. The Buick might be a bit upscale to compete with the Av
  4. I am so hyped about this new Buick that if I had the oppertunity to buy a new car, this one would be it. Of course Being a certified Buicknut I will expect this to drive as good as it looks. The LaCrosse looks like it will fit right in on the road over here on the european side of the big pond, and it still has that american car feeling about it. Over here we expect american cars to be big and powerful, so they will have to offer a hi-po option like a modern day GNX, and ofcourse for a car this size in europe there has to be a wagon bodystyle in the line up. Her is my take on the GNX And here
  5. Hello is this great thread dead? If there is still some life left in it, maybe we should send this lady here away again :-) http://www.gravesights.org/91%20Buick%20Roadmaster-D'arcy.jpg

  7. I keep a close eye on a Blog by a mr. Gerry Godin, the updates a few and far between, but when they are posted they are fascinating reading. If you are not aware of this blog, you should click here : http://buickcity.blogspot.com/ This week mr. Godin has posted some great letters between David Dunbar Buick and Walter Marr, along with some of Marr's old patentcertificates, old pictures and more.
  8. One of my favorit vintages is the 1955, it's sooo beautiful. Imagine if they had made the classy Chebby Nomad a Buick in stead, what a sight to behold. Instant style leader is what it is :-)
  9. 14. Here is an interesting article I found today : (Source: autoblog.com) <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">This interesting article from FastCompany.com follows the story of Joe Qiu, known as "Shanghai Joe" within General Motors where he works at the company's Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC) in Shanghai as a car designer. Qiu and a relatively small, inexperienced team of designers were responsible for the current version of the Buick LaCrosse sold in China (shown above). This year the car is expected
