  1. The letter came today for my wife, Debbie, who takes care of the Central Chapter, Minnesota Region website. ( I provide her with a little technical support behind the scenes). The last time we went to the annual meeting was I think 1993. Maybe I have to see how much tickets are going for to head east.
  2. I just got my first copy of the new E-News. I did enjoy reading it. And is that the new AACA logo on the top? Looks nice!
  3. Judy: I think this would be a good idea. As a webmaster, I don't really know what was required. Yes I know about what was posted last year. Maybe this is one way to be completely fair in how the web sites are judged. Just my opinion.
  4. I was wondering about this myself. I know the newsletters are judged by a point system. Are web sites still judged subjectively? Our site had won the Award of Distinction for the first two years and then this year it won the award of Merit.
  5. Hello all: Anyone know of a good web site or maybe a list of cars produced by state? Minnesota is celebrating its 150th year this year. I know of two automobiles that were produced, the Luverne and the Pan. I am wondering if there were any others. I want to do a page on our web site for these vehicles. Thanks
  6. Hello: I just got my award from our Region President tonight and thank you for that. I am just wondering if the criteria for the website judging can be re-printed here. I know it was published last year but maybe a refresher. Thanks in advance,
  7. Judy: Thanks for the info. I'll contact the home office and see if they will send me one to copy.
  8. I am looking to see if there is a link for copies of the Wheels newsletter from the JR. AACA. The Minnesota Region has a display in March at the Minneapolis/St. Paul Auto Show and I would like to get a few copies if we have an interested young person. If there is a link then I will just download the copies. Thanks
  9. Judy: I just sent you a PM regarding a picture.
  10. I do have a Paypal Business Account for my company and the charges for accepting payment are from 1.9%-2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction. That's about what the cost is to accept credit cards. There is no charge to transfer the money into your checking or savings account although they do pay pretty good interest on the money. I do not think you can sign up for a personal account when you are an organization. Some people don't like Paypal but I have never had any problem with charge backs and I have had payments sent to me from all over the world. Go to their web site and check out their FAQ's

We have beautiful weather up here. We also have two seasons. Winter and Road Construction. I am not sure how many of you were able to attend the Spring Meet in Detroit Lakes this year but if you did you saw one of the best places in our fine state. Ya sure, you betcha
  12. I don't know if you have found it yet but here is a link to a site called Drag Racing List. They do have a story about Jon Asher. The link is: http://www.draglist.com/index.shtml
  13. You know, I have enjoyed reading this. As for me I work in the Operations Center of a Same Day Courier. I get to tell people where to go! It's great. For fun I teach computers for recent arrivals to our great country. Oh yes, also I deceided to write a book. Cheers
  14. Peter: My wife got your email for Central Chapter, Minnesota Region but I never got an email for Capitol City Chapter
  15. One of the nice things about Adobe is that you can get an on-line subscription. This is what I use. You can get 5 free conversions to try it out.
  16. I have used either Front Page or the Coffee Cup web site editor. Find one you like and go with it.
  17. The Link would be a good idea. What we have done is have the members indicate if they are willing to have their vehicles available for extra activites. When a request comes in we just find out what type of vehicle the people want and then contact the member and see if they can do the event.
  18. Thanks John: Got them just fine. I also found a generic old car background at: http://www.grsites.com/ I now have that one up on the web site but I will try yours and see what happens.
  19. John: I would love it. I will have to ask around the club and see what people have for ads. Thank you
  20. Thanks John: that's something I did not think of. I think I'll try it and see what I can come up with. Brian
  21. Hello all: Any one got any good ideas for a good source of backgrounds for web sites. Of course vechicle related would be real good but since I also have another web site I take care of that is not car related a source for general backgrounds would be nice. Maybe there is a program out there to create your own backgrounds. Thanks <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
  22. Judy: Thanks for letting us know. This is so much easier then getting it in the mail. Cheers!
  23. My Father-In-Law is looking for a late 1914 to early 1915 engine for his Model T. He tells me that an engine from October 1914 to March 1915 will work. He also tells me that he will also accept a block only and then he will rebuild it from there. Please send me a PM or you can email me at bfreed@webesearch.com and I will pass it along to him. Also please include the serial number and production date in your reply. Thank you,
