  1. Hello Oldcar, I can't help but make a comment about your Lagonda! What a pretty speed car. I do not care to spoil your Dixie Flyer dialog but could you please post a couple of more pictures or start a new discussion about your Lagonda? I would really like to see a rear shot and have you add, if you will a few more specs. on your car. I am in process of building an Alvis TA-14 special, so now you know my interest. It would be nice for you to post a few of your "in progress" images of the Lagonda as you completed your restoration. What wheel base is the car, what size wheels did you go with, etc? I apologize for my questions but hope you will appreciate my interest in your beautiful car. Not much British here in the western US State of Utah. Regards, Alan
  2. I have been going over my steering assemblies and would like to locate a spare donor gear box. I would need just the bottom end and steering arm, not the actual column or steering wheel. If you have such a thing, that is extra, drop me a note. I am building a Late 1922 Touring. Regards, Alan
  3. Hello, I have a partial set of 1933-38 wire wheels for a Pierce-Arrow project. My partial set will all require the installation of new rims, due to rust. Please look in your loose Pierce-Arrow parts and see if you could help me out with a wheel that needs a new rim. Thanks, Alan
  4. I am in need of one additional #5 Buffalo hub, wheel center and cap to complete a set for my project. Please look in your left over parts and see if you can help me out or refer me to someone who may be able to. If you have something, any make, I probably could convert it. Thanks, Alan
  5. I am in need of one additional #5 Buffalo hub, wheel center and cap to complete a set for my project. Please look in your left over parts and see if you can help me out or refer me to someone who may be able to. If you have something that is not Buick, I probably could convert it. Thanks, Alan
  6. Hello Bob, I did get one reply from my several requests for information on other AACA forums, regarding the mystery chassis you have. The guy was from the central upper states, I think, he has yet to make any suggestions. The chassis is probably not real a real obscure Make but not something many people see bare very often??? Do you know of any overhead valve heads available for our early Dodge Bros.? You probably are not looking to sell yours? Regards, Alan
  7. Hello Mark, Thanks for the referal, I will give Matt a call this evening. I have a couple of projects and a couple of derelicts laying in the backyard. My best project is a car that was purchased by my Grand-dad and I still have the original sales agreement, license, title etc. It is a 1923 Touring car. It is unrestored, 90% complete at this time. I do have a set of 24" Houk wire wheels all respoked and am considering installation of a Ricardo head. Regards from a fellow Dodge guy.... Alan PS. If you live right in or near Gettysburg, I am jealous! I do like your area and the rich history it contains!!!!
  8. It would be easier to locate a proper year chassis and build that year as a speedster. If you choose to not purchase the 1927 stuff, I would be interested in the parts also. I am in Utah...very close to Idaho. Regards, Alan
  9. Hello Bob and John, Bob.....do you own the Roof head? If so have you ever run it? What is the second head in your picture? I could find no definitive information on your chassis? Have you? John......drop some pictures so we can see how you approached the replacement carburetor? I am considering an upgrade when I install the Ricardo head on my touring car. Regards, Alan
  10. I work on and enjoy old farm equipment. The wheel, depicted in your picture, is most likely from an old piece of farm machinery. This style wheel was not used, from the factory, on automobiles. What size tire does it have on it? a 16"? It is likely that someone installed this wheel on a car in place of the original. If I have some extra time I could post a picture or two of some farm machinery with this style wheel. Regards, Alan
  11. 58-ML-118121-ML- Moved to "What is It?" Those guys love a challege! RWB
  12. Can anyone help me ID this chassis. It has a 120" wheelbase, hydraulic brakes, 7 lug wheels, probably room for a straight 8 engine. Help me if you can. Regards, Alan
  13. Can anyone identify this chassis. It may be a 1930-31 REO straight 8, 120" wheelbase with hydraulic brakes. Please help me if you can. Regards, Alan
  14. Hello Bob, Thanks for posting the images. Could you get me a bit of information on the bolt spacing for the hubs? It appears to have hydraulic brakes, am I correct? Could you post a close-up of the bolt pattern of one of the hubs? Thanks, Alan
  15. Hello Bob, Are you sure it is Reo? Could you send a few more digital images. I am considering building a special and maybe your chassis would work for that. Regards, Alan (UTAH)
  16. Hello Jeanette, Nice car, one of my favorite ever cars was a yellow 1970 98 2 door hardtop. I may be interested in your car. From the pictures, it does not look like Ariz. Where are you located? Regards, Alan D.
  17. Hello Chris, Could you send me a few other pictures showing engine, interior and top? Thanks, Al alsfarms@hotmail.com
  18. Hello Louis, I recieved a message from you. I have asked a couple of general information type questions on the P-A Society forum. I am in Cal. for a few days but will try to give you a call Mon. or Tues. regarding your parts car. Regards, Alan
  19. Hello Mike, We sure have fun with the old rigs we play with. It is hard to out-guess what age, water, weather, sun, lack of grease and oil will cause us problems and when these problems will arrive. I believe in Murphy...and at the worst time possible...it will happen. Even a restored car, in which we think we have done it all, will have a little gremlin sneak in on us and cause problems. Your council is good and thanks for the heads up. Alan
  20. Hello Kane, Send me a private message. I may have a project that will be for sale soon. Regards, Alan alsfarms@hotmail.com
  21. Hello Dean, I must say you have a nice looking sedan and an excellent original car. I wish my best project was as nice as your Hup. It does appear to be a nice original car. Are you just going to resolve the few issues, clean up and reassemble. You would sure have a nice survivor! That is the kind of car most of us only dream about anymore. GOOD LUCK... Alan
  22. Hello Bob, Yes, I am still in need of a couple more 21" wheels. Please send me a couple of pics. of what you have. Regards, Alan
  23. Hello Don, I am looking for singles to complete out a set of 21" Dodge Bros. disk wheels. I could also use a few 24" wheels to complete a set of that size for another project. Drop me a few digital pics. at alsfarms@hotmail.com Thanks, Alan
