  5. I had this Riviera shipped from LA around 4yrs ago. This was the project of a movie industry guy who had a sudden change of life and sold all his stuff. There are receipts for more than 14k, items such as a fully rebuilt 455, new AC, new interior, suspension, trans rebuild, and more. The car is a 99.9% rust free original CA car (i have the plates) and has only a finger sized spot behind a rear wheel. that's it. Starts and runs great, new windshield, in primer waiting for paint. An awesome opportunity for someone at $4500/bo. Call me at six zero three/ 239-8900. I have pics, the car is located in southern NH, about 2hrs from Boston, Albany or Hartford. Chris

  7. Here's your chance to own a matched set of 1926 Buicks, master 6 long wheel base cars. The first is a 4dr sedan that's very solid, wood properly restored, nice orig interior needs finishing and mechanicals. Second is the matching parts car with no orig wood left, otherwise it's all there. Get this.. The second car comes with a 4dr touring car wood body frame kit, in oak, with 5 original Buick touring car doors, but no top irons. This is bound to be a fun pair for someone, and I'm told they make great road cars. Extra std 6 engine included for fun. $4500 for the pair and all the parts. They're in the barn and tough to get good camera shots right now, but we can talk. located in southern NH, Call 603-239-8900/bo EST or email yankeejukebox@adelphia.net
  8. Who am I kidding, I'll never finish half of what's here, so here's your chance to own a matched set of 1926 Buicks, master 6 long wheel base cars. 10. Thanks for the heads up! I looked at the part, it's just the small dogleg for the 4dr sedan, not the longer panel used on the 2dr, or even longer on the 2dr 98. That's been my problem. Thanks again!
  11. This car, we call her "Matilda", was owned by an elderly woman in SD. Upon her husband's death, she switched to driving his car, a newer model with ps,pb. This car sat until her death, when her Grandaughter drove the car back to the Chicago area where it was located when we purchased it about 3 years ago. Recent upgrades include, water pump, WWW tires about 6 yrs ago, new muffler, brakes relined, wheel bearings serviced, new 6v batt, full new carpet, and safety belts all around. Equipped with a V8 and Powerflight transmission, it's a very nice road car. This car looks great from almost any perspective, has minor fray on the piping of the driver's seat, otherwise the interior is very nice indeed. Runs very quietly, drives great. Turquoise color, truquoise interior, and the radio works fine. I cannot begin to explain what a nice, original, garage kept, blast of a 50's car this is. There was a story of some repair to the rr taillight area when she backed into a beer truck sometime back in the late 1950's, but that's the end of the body stories. The undercarriage is rust free and super clean everywhere. Several orig service station stickers are still in place that verify the mileage. If you seek a nice original 1950's drive home, trophy winning car for a very reasonable $8900, look no further. Please call 603-239-8900 EST or email at airstreamers@adelphia.net. I can get other pics to you via email. Thanks. PS Here's a link about 55 Dodge Cars that's very informative. http://www.allpar.com/history/chrysler-years/1955.html
  12. Bill, thanks for your input. I agree about a closed car for comfort, I couldn't agree more, and will keep the other 26-51 for that, as well as others we have. The main focus here was to be able to rejuvinate the second, otherwise doomed 26-51 that I bought for parts and attempt to do something fun. Just with this post I've already spoken with a couple of people that have a bunch of parts, ideas, and encouragement for the project. Granted it's a long shot, but it beats cutting up the second car and turning it into recycling.
  13. I know it sounds a little nuts. I bought a 26-51 parts car for my other 26-51 and found the metal parts of the car to have some promise, at least enough to make me feel guilty. Miraculously, the next week I found a 26 Buick 4dr conv, long wheel base, wood body kit for sale. The owner said it's all new oak, 90% complete, with the 4 original Buick touring car doors to go with it. Looking over my 26-51 parts car, I came to the conclusion that I could, with divine intervention, convert this into a touring car. It appears the front and rear cowls will work and the doors were included, but I'll need the front windshield components for a touring car as well as any top irons and needed hardware. Any thoughts or suggestions are always helpful!
  14. I'm looking to purchase a complete (preferred) 1926 Master 6 Buick engine for my 26-51. Mine has a cracked block and I'm trying to find an easier solution for a "fun car" project. Running is a plus! Thanks.
  15. Can you tell me if you still have your 26 Master engine for sale? Thanks. Chris
