  1. The Reatta has been sold. See ad in the Reatta section.
  2. The Reatta has been sold and the gentleman who bought it is going to restore it. She will live on and I am glad. I didn't want to part with it but I could not afford to restore the car, The "wonderful" VA has been sitting on my disabilty for 14 months now. Had they come through, it would be me restoring the car but at least she won't be parted out or scrapped. Gerald has also promised to send pics.
  3. One other thing about parts, the Rivera and the Olds Torleo ( spelled wrong ) and the Reatta share a lot of commom parts ( C-body cars )from the same time frame (89 to 91) especially the engine and electronics. If you need parts of that nature then your best bet maybe a salvage yard. JD Hancock
  4. I found a Corvair that looks to be in great shape and the "ragtop" looks great as well. I haven't looked at the price for "fear" of price shock...LOL anyone out there knows what one of these should go for on the fair market? JD Hancock
  5. I hate to say this but you may need to replace the entire system to include the screen. Try this, with the climate control off, press the off and warm button on the screen for a few seconds, this will kick in a self diagnostic mode for the car, if the touchscreen will work for you. JD Hancock
  6. If you are in Orlando, that is only one hour from Spring Hill (50 miles). If you can spare the time, it will be worth it for you ( after all parts are getting harder to come by and this way I will be helping some one out who needs a good parts car that does run ). JD Hancock
  7. I hope someone can use a good parts car, I hate to see this one wind up the way of the wrecking yard. JD Hancock
  8. I hope I can find someone out there who needs a good parts car. Any help from this fine club would be appreciated and it would save the car from the wrecking yard. JD Hancock
  9. I have a 1989 for sale. Please see my ad for all the details. The rims and center caps are in excellent shape. JD Hancock
  10. Do you still need the parts? I have a complete car for sale that would make you an excellent parts car. The hood has a crinkle that can be fixed w/o much work. Please see my ad posted. JD Hancock
  11. I have a 1989 Reatta for sale that is located in the state of florida. This car would make an excellent part car for someone who would like to have one, or it can be restored but it will take a lot of work. The exterior color was red but my brother (the one who owned before me) had it re-painted brown at a Macco type place, so the underside is still red. as matter of fact the brown paint is flaking off and the red is "coming out". The interior is basically shot ( the pass seat is just fine ). The exterior has the following minor flaws: the hood has a crinkle in it when my younger son had a fenderbender, the pass side front quarterpanel was bondo-ed over when my older brother owned the car ( I am the third owner ). the rest of the body is in great shape to include the glass. The engine, tranie and CVs are in very good shape ( my other brother who has 40 years mechanical experience worked on the car, he has the following cars: 1947 fraiser which has won awards, 1952 Henry J, 1953 coverted to 54 Kaiser, 1965 Mustang fastback, 1967 Pymouth Fury III convertable, and 1988 T-Bird Turbo Coupe ). The brake were redone by midas when my non-mechanic brother so he could take advantage of the lifetime warranty. The master cylinder was replaced three Years ago (new). The rims are factorty and all have the "R" center cap. The brain and touch screen componets are in excellent working order. The a/c clutch broke but the rest of the system is fine ( reworked the sytem and added a new evap) I am asking $750 or best offer. My e-mail address is johnhancocksr@yahoo. com Hopefully someone out there needs a great parts car or would love a challenge. I hate to see the car wind up in a salvage yard and I know some one out there could use this car. JD Hancock
  12. If you need parts for your 90, I have an 89 that does run for sale. If you would be so kind as to read the second ad, it will totally inform you about the car. BTW, the rear of the car is in EXCELLENT shape! JD Hancock
  13. I am located on the gulf coast of Fla., in a town named Spring Hill ( which is about a hour / 1 1/2 hours north of Tampa / St. Petersberg ). Hopefully this will help you to find me, contact me via my e-mail address w/ your telephone number and I will call you. Thank you for your interest. JD Hancock
  14. Ok, this is the third time around but hopefully there is someone who needs a good parts car or as you can read. I have a 1989 Reatta for sale in Fla, this car does run and if you want to spend time on it, it can be restored. The color of the car is brown but my non-mechanic brother had it painted by a macco type place, so the red color is coming out. The interior is in poor shape, the passenger seat is good to go. The exterior, the front of the hood has a small crinkle from a fenderbender my younger son had ( the 5mph bumper worked!!!!! ) the pass front fender has been bondo-ed when my older brother had the car, other than that, the body and glass are in excellent shape. The engine, Tranie, and CVs were checked and serviced by my other older brother (who has 40 years mechanical experience, and himself a avid car collector ranging from kaisers / frasiers, mustang (1965), henry j (1952), plymounth fury III convertable (1967), and a 1988 T-bird Turbo coupe. The electronics on the car to include the brain is in excellent shape. The master cylinder was replaced three years ago (new) and the brakes were redone at midas by my brother who owned the car so he could take advantage of the lifetime warranty. The car has the original rims with the "R" center cover. The A/C clutch doesn't work but the rest of the A/C componets are ok ( I added a new evap ). If you need a parts car that can give you what you need w/o spending a lot at the dealer or parts house, then this is the car. If you want to rebuild the car, it can be done but I think the car would be better served as a parts car. My e-mail is: johnhancocksr@yahoo.com if you are interested. The price for the car that I am looking for is $750.00 ( the rims alone w/ the "R" center caps are worth $300 alone, and the touch screen brain runs about $300-$400) Or Best Offer. I hate to see the car wind up in a salvage yard and I know someone out there could use this car.
  15. I live on the gulf side (Spring Hill) north of Tampa / St. Pete. the outside of the car my younger son had a fenderbender, the hood has a slight crincle, and the pass fender was bondo-ed over when my older brother owned it. the inside is not in good shape at all. But all of the electronics works. the A/C went out but the engine, tranie, and CVs are good to go. The rest of the body and glass is in great shape. The factory rims are there w/ the "R" cover cap.
