It's bad enough when something that you have repaired yourself goes wrong, at least you can say, "I must have done something wrong or I forgot to put that bit back" But when you pay to have a job done and that happens, its makes you think twice who you let loose on your pride and joy. I am in the middle of changing my clutch, second time out with only 3000 miles on the clock, first time when I stripped the teeth off the ring gear and now to fix a slipping clutch. slipping because I forgot to put in the cork seal on the input shaft, overfilled the trans, put to much grease on the input shaft and finally, I soaked the throwout bearing in motor oil and forgot to let the excess oil drain out before reinstalling. anyway, a good learning exercise overall. Gave me something to do over winter here in Australia, but I better get it back together as the better weather is returning Rex Stubbs 1939 Buick 8/40 Holden Body Webmaster - Buick Car Club of Australia (Vic) Vice President - Buick Car Club of Australia (Vic)
