  1. My glove box latch is also broken. I have magnets to keep it closed. Sorry not original but it works for now. But I appreciate seeing you folks out there with '38s. most of the people in our town have late '50s and 60s. Ahh, the PreWar!
  2. I've replaced my fuel tank and the sending unit. Both are new. The gauge will properly indicate "full" when the float is fully up. The gauge will not go below 3/8 of a tank at it's lowest setting. I've verified wiring, it's correctly grounded. I considered perhaps the float was hitting something inside the tank so I pulled the unit out but the read is still the same. The sending unit is adjustable and I've moved the bar (hence the pivot) up and own. No difference. I have not put any fuel into the tank. My 38 was converted to a 12 volt system before we bought it. The gauges are all original and they (the others) all seem to work accurately. Is there a problem with 12 vs 6 volt? Any advice is appreciated.
  3. Sorry for forgetting the link. Thank you to Car Geek! The car isn't mine. I just saw it on the CR postings. It is located somewhere near Des Moines IA. But listed in the Omaha CR.
  4. This amazing car is for sale listed on Craigslist - Omaha Nebraska. 1936 Chrysler Airstream C7 4dr Barn Fresh! - $7300 (Dallas Center,IA)
  5. In which state are you located? Do you still have your 47?

    38 Plymouth Parts

Hi, Do you have the inside bezels/escutcheons for the door handles and window cranks? Thanks!
  7. Thanks for this great thread. The 1936 Packard dash is fantastic. I love the form and layout.
  8. I plan to visit Minden NE later on this, this summer. But you can call the nice folks at the Pioneer Village and ask them directly. (check the Harold Warp Pioneer Village website to find the number. They can tell you specifically what is in their inventory. Overall it is massive but somewhat limited in DB) Still, I'm going to take a lot of photos and do some research.
  9. To gently compare, I paid 1500. for a driving/steering/starting '25 Touring car that was missing it's rear seat bucket. All fenders/bumpers/wiring to taillight etc were there but it had been a rock hauler.. It appears to me that T-Haven looks radically over priced.
  10. Isn't there anyone out there with a 24-26 touring? Any dimensions would help me. Even the correct length of the wood bows could help.
  11. What are the dimensions are the wooden top bows on a ‘25 DB touring? Thickness, length, distance across etc. Also, does anyone have photos of one, so i can see the actual shape? I have found some original survivors and I wonder if one of these top sets might be correct for our '25 Touring. The owner of these bows can't remember what makes they are. Perhaps one set will be close enough to modify? Thank you.
  12. Is there any difference in shape or size between a 1925 Touring seat bench and seat back and those from a sedan? In other words, are the sedan and touring seats interchangable? I'd like to put my solid but skeletal springs from my sedan (4 door parts car) onto my touring car. Advice? Thank you!
  13. Dear Alex, I wonder if you got my earlier message? I wonder about the cost, condition and availability for the 25DB back half that you sold....I'm eager to hear more . Thank you! kurtandnan@yahoo.com
  14. Thanks, fellows, for your insight. I hear you! But I wonder, are the subrails /subframes interchangeable between these two cars? How about the front fenders? I need to know. Thank you for your helpful advice. I guess what I really need is a real touring rear section with rear doors or a whole body for parts. Are there any out there that fit a 1924 Touring? Which years fit?
  15. I've heard from Classtique Upholstery in Minnesota. They should be able to help you out. Please call them at 1-866-669-6604. They'll need more details before they can work up an estimate. They do fine work for Ford Model Ts. Do you have a pattern or old material?
  16. I am interested in buying a 1924 DB touring car. It is missing it's rear half of the body. I'm wondering if our 1925 Dodge sedan (shell) could be cut and modified to fit properly as a tourer? My wife and I are not interested in showroom, just a nice looking driver when we finish. But how much work is this and also, how similiar are the fenders, seats etc? Obviously the doors will need massive altering. Is there a real 24Touring rear half available out there?
