  1. I use the site every time I am working on my Reatta. It has been very helpful and I know it would take me a lot longer to do the research needed to help solve problems. I don't use facebook and sure would to see this site continued. Thanks for creating it and for all the other things you have been doing to help Reattas stay running. Ed
  2. Thanks for all the responses. ED
  3. What is the correct color for the 1990 Reatta engine? Thanks, Ed
  4. Thanks Ronnie, I have ordered parts from the Reatta store and will again.
  5. I got this code on my 1990 Reatta with about 100,000 miles on it. I decided to replace the timing chain and associated parts and also the water pump. When I went to order parts, Rock Auto lists two camshaft gears, one with three bolt holes and one with one bolt hole. Does anyone know which one is used on the Reatta? I'd like to know before I send in my order. Thanks Ed
  6. For what it's worth. I called two transmission shops and asked about a fluid change or flush. Both said that GM had sent out a blurb saying not to do a flush so they only do a change. I did take my 90 in for a fluid change to one of these and when they dropped the pan, it was full of plastic pieces. They broke apart the filter and that had plastic in it also. Seems like there is a plastic bushing in the trans that disintegrated. The only way to fix it is to rebuild the trans. The car has just over 93000 miles on it. The shop said they didn't know why I wasn't have any shifting problems with the broken bushing and that if I had driven it until I did have problems, I probably would have ruined the case and other parts costing more money. MSDs are in

The lengths of the 1990 (Magnavox ignition) set AC 9616V are listed as 18, 28, 28, 36, 36 and 40 inches. The lengths of the 1991 (AC ignition) are listed as 16, 20, 22, 36, 36, and 40 inches. So the 1991 set doesn't leave the big extra loops that you have with the old set. Ed

I just completed the Magnavox to AC coil swap on my 90 convertible. I followed several threads on this and it seems like the same question about the plug wires comes up and never really gets answered. I replaced my wires with the set listed for the 91 models. I purchased them through the ROJ (for less than the parts houses sell them). The AC Delco number is 9626D. They work really well. Hope this helps some of you. Ed
  9. I don't use it a lot, probably not as much as I should, but when I do use it, it is very useful and helpful. Thanks for doing what you're doing. Ed
  10. I would like one set (two studs and two retainers). I will mail a check for $8 today. Ed
  11. Thanks, I got the panel back on tonight and everything seems to work, including the light at the key surround. Ed
  12. I have just finished installing a new wing window on the driver door of a 90 convertible and was going to replace the door panel, but I cannot remember where the fiber optic wire gets plugged in and can't see where it plugs. Can anyone tell me where to plug it? Thanks Ed
  13. Found the manual on ebay again. Item number 6591590989. Buy it now price $12.95, $4.00 shipping. Listed by Hydro-E-Lectric. Ed
  14. I think I saw an auction for a manual on ebay. I can't remember the firm that was selling them right off, but have the name at home. I will post it when I get home from work this afternoon.
  15. Thanks for the help. It is the nylon ball on the linkage under the hood. Has anyone figured out how to secure it without replacing the complete cable? Replacing the whole cable seems a bit much. Ed
