  1. Did not realize I had a parts book, there is a note in there that says to go to the illustration section that shows how to tell the 2 apart. I do not have the illustrations but found this online. =Please Note: For 1961 - 1964 Buick Full Size PS, 1961 - 1962 Oldsmobile Full Size PS/MS and 1963 - 1964 Oldsmobile Full Size PS, state if steering linkage is Saginaw type or TRW type. In order to determine type, measure the pitman arm end center link stud at the end of the taper nearest the threads. Saginaw measures .587, TRW measures .556. Mine measures .561 which is the same as the pt#1364902 I bought on Ebay My parts book shows power steering with either, so I believe the only way to know for sure is measure the stud size.
  2. The center link I bought on eBay is a 1364901, which according to an old flat rate book I have is for power steering for a 300 engine. It shows 1364902 center link for a 401 engine with power steering which I believe is what I need.
  3. Flxible used the 63 Bumper on the 64, s . This was based on a4dr .
  4. Vin Pic. Thanks This gets stranger, this is a pic of warranty plate. The vin on the a pillar is the same but does not have the last leter z in it.
  5. Again, thanks for all the help and clarification. Would you have the pt#s I need for the idler and center link for my 64? Found a center link on eBay appears correct? https://www.ebay.com/itm/274774885622?hash=item3ff9dc04f6:g:A0sAAOSw20xghztC
  6. Great info. Thanks, looking at the front end on the 64, everything has grease fittings other than the idler arm and pitman arm. Been changed at some point? I need a center link, idler and strut arm bushings. Thanks for all the help.
  7. When I changed the title into my name, I was thinking oh crap this might be a problem.. But they said nothing nor did I.
  8. Another question on this. It has no cowl tag only the tag from Flxible. It does have vin on the a pillar , the 4 digit Flxible tag was used for the vin on registration . I believe Buick at one time shipped stripped chassis to Flxible any reason this would not have a cowl tag? Thanks
  9. Tried to do a search for that contact info, it says I do not have enough content yet?? Can you give me that person contact info? Thanks
  10. This has a drifting of the front end from left to right going into a long turn about 60-65. All I have done so far are shocks, strut arm bushings and service the wheel bearings and replace the tires as it has been sitting for 11 years. Need to chk the front end out. Guessing center link, idler maybe pitman arm? It looks like this year has 2 different suppliers for some of the parts. Is there any good source for these? It looks like either Saginaw or Trw components are used, is that correct? Thanks
  11. Yes, it is. Flxible from 61-64 moved the windshield out to help give extra height to the roof, they called it the hidden 2.5 inches. It gives it a nice transition from the top of the windshield to the roof.
  12. It is a mate to my limo, also by Flxible
  13. Picked this up from the original owners, solid needs some tlc.
  14. This was bult by Flxible corporation, it is a service car. Probably the only one left, it does not have a cowl tag anywhere and looks like it never did. It has a vin tag and a data plate by Flxible. The question, is there a way to tell if it was made form a sedan or a wagon? Flxible built some one off items occasionally . I also have a 62 Electra built by them 1 of 2 made . Thanks
  15. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Dan, I've been aware of these cars for many years, and was pleased to learn recently (from the PCS site) that you had acquired one. Thank you for preserving this piece of Buick history. Do you know if the other car has survived?</div></div> It needs some tlc but has survived pretty well. The rear door handles are the same as a 75 Series Cadillac the handle is a pull and slides back to open the door. Flxible had a good eye for balance . The pics here are of my 63 Flexett ( short wheel base coach) I had for awhile most early commercial chassis cars use commercial glass that is taller then normal. With the taller glass the roof line flows into the body and does not have a "pinched" look at the header. The 63 Flexett is clever in that it does not have commercial glass but does have a tall roof line, Flxible tilted the windshield out to raise the roof line. It is not real evident on the pics but a nice piece of eye deception. I have some info that came with the car so I ,ll see if I can backtrack to the owner of the other car. Thanks More Limo Pics 63 Pics=
  16. With the info that came with car it looks like the Flxible coach corporation produced 2 of these for GM for a cost study feasibility. All the rear area is trimmed similar to a 75 series Cadillac with jump seats and rear a/c heater controls but no radio controls. It has a divider partition but no glass. Any body with any info it would be great to hear from. Thanks .
