Thanks for the comment...My camera is not working properly...so I have posted pics I took awhile back....yes the demand for cars of the twenties and thirties is poor. I am very surprised to encounter this situation. By the way I have 2 or 3 times the $ in these cars than I will ever get out; however, I did not buy them as investments.

Thanks again.....

Thanks guys....F&J, I agree with you in that "baby boomers" like myself liked to restore, piddle with cars of the 20's, 30's and now the younger generations don't care much for these cars. I remember when a guy would say "if you ever want to sell that car, let me know". Another note; I have more in the cars in my collection than I could have gotten even in a very good market. I would like to see them get into hands that will preserve and improve them.

I am trying to sell some of my vehicles on this site and have talked to several local collector/restorers relative to selling cars. It seems from what I am seeing that the market for early cars; especially those of the twenties and thirties is not very strong. I am posting this to see what the rest of you collectors think. Let me know...Thanks.

A few notes on the Lincoln. As was mentioned in a previous post I acquired the car in 1988/89. I have been through it mechanically including rebuilding it's motor. I have a copy of the owner's manual, the service bulletins' and the parts book. The car was used in several hollywood productions. I have a copy of one of the movies "The Kansas City Massacre"; which you can google. I have a letter from the Ford Motor Co. showing it was assembled on Feb 28, 1928; and was shipped to the Edward Lowe dealership in San Francisco on April 6, 1928. I also have quite a few extra parts including a transmission.

1952 Cadillac Series 75

This Cadillac has gotten into good hands! -
It has come time for me to pare down my collection. I have 4 cars I want to get into good hands. They are as follows: 1921 Studebaker Light 6 touring, a 1928 L Lincoln type 147A, a 1929 model A Ford tudor, and a 1931 Plymouth PA delux sport roadster. I am working on getting some pictures. The Studebaker is basically a very well preserved HPOF car, that needs a little work to get running again. The Lincoln is very solid mechanically (I rebuilt the engine and went through it mechanically). You can see pictures of it I posted several years ago on this site by googling 1928 Lincoln type 147A then images. It is the maroon one; plus you can read the site comments. The model A needs another ground up restoration; it is basically all there with a professionally rebuilt engine. The Plymouth was restored by Leo Gebart and I bought it at auction in Auburn; it has side mounts trunk rack, rumble seat, wind wings and other options. It is a good driver; however, it has been sitting for a while and needs the early hydraulic brakes overhauled plus being woken up from sitting for several years. I have plenty of extra parts for all the cars; plus, owners manuals parts books, service bulletins. Let me know on this site if you have any interest. Harry Jenkins

I am trying to clear out my shop of a quantity of parts I obtained in the past. These include 340 ( 5 fuses per pack ) packets of Whitaker automotive fuses, packages of Milton valve extensions ( both plated brass and rubber ), KD tools (new in the unopened pkg> ) such as "Deluxe 6" Dent Puller, Bendix Drum brake spring tool, Swivoil filter wrench, and many others. Plus, various other parts too numerous to mention. I want to liquidate all of it together. Is anyone interested; or can you suggest a vendor that might have interest. Thanks in advance

Again, the drive arrangement for the distributor / water pump / generator; appears very similar to the design developed by Zeder, Breer and Skelton ( Walter P. Chrysler's "Three Musketeers) for the Studebaker Light Six ; which was the last vehicle they designed for Studebaker before they left the company.
