  1. Thanks to both of you . I am really ill prepared for this type of calculation . Even if the dropping resistor is as Tom Myers suggested 3.2 ohm I would still be fine with a 25 watter
  2. i included the tail light and dash light as they go through the resistor I think
  3. 4 lamps 2 amps each = 8 amps x 5 volts is 40 watts using your numbers

  7. Hello I need to replace the dimmer resistance coil in my switch for 1917 DB. I was told to get a resistor rated at 3.2 ohm . I was told could use up to 5 ohm resistor. My question is what is the wattage rating for the resistor that I would need?? thanks bob

  12. Bob Scafani on ebay as db-racer (7882 ) I was thinking that for 1918 you may have 7 lug Kelsey Hays wheels . Scafani has rims for Stanweld now on ebay but contact him and he will get back to you as he has tons of parts and can help you with info as well. Any one out there that can verify but I think 7 lug pattern was for Kelseys

  17. no no early ones have a threaded post and pin I will post a picture asap
  18. actually up through 1916 radiators were very short . Then they became a bit taller as in 17-18 19. By the mid 20s they were much taller. The emblem should be held on with a nut on a threaded stem with a small pin to keep it from rotating Later the emblem was held on with a mushroomed flange But yours should be the stem type. You must have the radiator out of the shroud to remove it. Windshield is FLAT on the cowl in 1918

  20. I think the white one is correct for 1916-1917 I have white one in my 16 and i my June 1917 1917. My 1918 has the black one. The dash boards are different as well

  22. The 1917-18 style is in green next to unfinished 1916. They are different The 16 has had a few pieces cut out.
  23. OH you need engine splash shields DUH well I have a set out of my 16 I will photo them for you FYI I also have a set of 17s and 18s there are differences
